I don't understand how anyone can conclude from what has been reported that Marinakis is going to "come to his senses" and back down.
I don't understand how you can not understand his contractual obligation if all of the requirements have been met. He's legally bound.

The fact that the terms were agreed with the Forest board, to the point where they initially allowed him to have a medical undertaken, is pretty strong evidence that the terms were met.

Their owner is not above that, no matter what posturing he comes out with.

Marinakis loved football, even as a poor kid in the backstreets of Athens.

Correct.

Well, Forest can, at the very least, deny him that amicability.

It's crazy that he's training at a club that has violated his contract. This is not a garden variety transfer dispute, I think that's where people are losing the thread here.

If Forest didn't pay his wages, he would not be at the training ground.
That has already been explained to you. You just chose to ignore it.

This is exactly right and there are only two possible reasons CAA Stellar weren't screaming bloody murder on every TV show in the country first thing Friday morning:

1. They've done something wrong
2. Their client doesn't want to fight this

Either way, Forest wins.
Both options are correct. But there is a third option.

CAA Stellar wanted to know precisely what Forest were going to allege.

Now that Forest have supposedly written to the agents & Spurs, we will know their likely lines of attack as they attempt to scupper the triggering of the release clause.

Presumably lawyers are poring over the implications of Forest's letter, and the actions of the agents & Spurs in the next few days will reveal whether we have any legal vulnerabilities.

Right so why would the player agree to put an NDA on that and if true why would the player/agent leak the info if he knows that it's a potential breach of contract?
As part of the negotiation. Maybe it was 80m with no NDA or 60m with an NDA and the latter was more valuable to him.

We don’t know how things played out but there are plausible scenarios.

Why would a player or agent leak the info? They thought it would work and of course it’s going to be impossible for Forest to prove that the information was leaked if they’ve been clever about it.

I will say to caveat all this that something being plausible or possible doesnt make it true.

This saga could drag on for the rest of the window, It wouldn't surprise me if we "ended our interest" only to move back in at the back end of the window.

The fact is, I think he will be a Spurs player.

And if not we know the money and intent is there so I'm positive we will get somebody who moves the needle for this squad.

I'm pretty chill about it truth be told.

Its silly season, and its cut throat out there. Every single club is playing the game. Man Utd moved in for Mbeumo a few days after the season finished and that deal looks no closer to being done.

What's my point with this ramble?

I think people need to chill basically. Touch some grass and wait and see.

Once moved into a gaff where the previous owner owed some money. I used to RTS the letters but after a couple of years starting reading them.
"We are considering legal action (LA.) "
"We are really, really considering LA."
"This case has been referred to our really, really considering LA dept."
Etc..
Like the BBC
