Teams generate hundreds of millions. If it's not being spent on fees, what is it being spent on? Will wages go even more insane? Or will the outrageous costs passed onto us, the paying fans, be reduced?
If teams aren't pissing £100m away on shite players, can they afford to earn £100m less and ultimately reduce ticket, merch and subscription costs?

I agree - he does improve the starting 11 but I think that says more about the current starting 11 than the player. He's very good, I like him, I want him in our team but I personally don't think he pushes us into top four certainties every season.

It'll eventually get ugly. He has a release clause that is getting ignored because the Forest owner is claiming MGW or his agent leaked confidential info. Thats a mess. I don't see them resolving that internally.

MGW wants to go. His release clause has been triggered. Forest owner is blocking it and threatening to sue his agent.

Why should he though, its like going into Tesco and deciding to pay more for your weekly Shop, the only way you would ever need to pay more with a release clause is if you want better payment terms, but if you believe the rumours we have already offered to pay it over 2 years, which is what the release clause stipulates ( apparently)

No, we need to wait this out. One of the best midfielders in the league, English and not at his peak yet. By all accounts TF has been long been an admirer and at 60m he would be a steal. Not to mention the principle of letting Marinakis getting his way for throwing his toys out the pram.
