An interesting question clubs need to be asking themselves now is whether they'd be willing to sell a key player to Saudi for way more than they're worth.
Like, would we accept 100M for Madders?
(It's a moot point because Madders is the last player who would ever go there, but still)
If they came in with a good bid and we could get MWG then I would be on board with this. Injury record and his inconsistency means he could be a player we let go and could improve the overall squad with the cash
His cheeky persona and growing young family moving to there? Can't see him wanting that at all personally.

Need to get out of the mindset that just having one good player in a position is acceptable.
Maddison is a fantastic player, a game changer, and with other good players rotating, he will be an important player for Tottenham.

The best and worst thing about James Maddison is that he's absolutely Spurs to his bones on a spiritual level.
He is a quality player on his day but the Leicester fans who told us he will be great for 1/3 of season, injured for 1/3 and poor for a 1/3 has come to pass imo.
I think he's a squad luxury that we could improve overall, we are unlikely to get a player that can give us the 9/10 performance he can but over a season we can certainly bring in a player who contributes more and is available more often.
Yeah I see your point, but it really wouldn't suit him. How long did Henderson last there? Or Duran? And Madders is totally unsuitable for it imo. If he's gonna do it, particularly if it's for £££ reasons, then I can see him waiting another 3-4 years...Cant think of any reason to go
Maddison is 29 during next season, injuries dont seem to be getting any better. Probably comes a year or 2 earlier than he would have liked but if an offer did come i'd imagine he'd have to give it some serious thought.
