Forest selling Danilo to Botafogo. Nothing dodgy at all there. Just casually trading players to their mate Textor. I bet nearly every Forest deal is dodgy.
There's definitely some dodgy shit going on there. The Olympiakos stuff, the Lyon bollocks. I imagine it's raised a couple of red flags and Forest will end up getting investigated. Only the big boys can get away with doing sketchy shit.

Why is he similar to Nkunku?

Why would Simons go the same way?

Is there anything solid behind that comparison?
I think he looks a bit lightweight, he’d take time to adjust to the league. I’m not sure what national team achievements have to do with anything, as Gibbs-White is competing with a lot better talent than Simons is.

It’s just my opinion, I think MGW is more sorted to what Frank wants and has shown he suits the PL.

Yeah I can see the point that a great season and 45m is probably worth the risk for Forest.

But the risk of him having a bad season and 45m is massive for a club in the edge of PSR fines and points deductions

This guy signed 20 players in a year or something. Hes bent as fuck but there’s only so many books you can cook
They're also running out of time in relation to their wage to turnover ratio. Forest are currently at 91% and need to drop that to 70% by the end of the coming season.

If I am reading the ruling correctly, they are already in breach of that, as all clubs were supposed to drop to 80% in the last season.

Forest's income stream, even with a Europa League campaign, will not cover that 21%, so they'll have to offload players regardless to comply, which kind of makes them offering to double MGW's wages rather ridiculous.

Losing MGW won't necessarily get them out of the hole they're in, but it must surely be a major consideration.

I think MGW has to legally fightback against Forest. The fact he hasn't either shows professionalism or else guilt of leaking confidential info. We can only guess which one it is.

The Spurs stance seems consistent. The offer is 60m. MGW wants to come but he's not pushing it. Forest are claiming he broke confidentiality so his release clause is null and void. Its down to MGW to force this move now. He can't go on their pre-season tour next week!
MGW won't even be involved in this, it will be his agency advising him to carry on until they get this resolved.

CSS are a behemoth compared to Forest. They'll know exactly what needs to be done here, as they'll have a bunch of legal sharks that would eat the chunky Zorba in two bites.

Looks like a combative little tank to me

MGW does have Prem proven in his favour but imo Simons would be worth the punt

Tbh, if you ignore all the noise they are making, every other piece of information points to Forest actually wanting to sell MGW more than refusing to sell him.

I think Marinakis is just delusional and thinks he can bully Levy into paying more than the release clause.

IMO Levy starts offering less than 60m soon and threatening to walk away

It’s weird how quiet it has gone. No real update. No idea if our bid is still in. No idea if the agents are pushing Forest or if Spurs have withdrawn for now.

He’s just turning up for training, as he should to be fair.. but it’s like the news of everything regarding the clause and medical was make belief and he’s just continuing as normal.

He was very young at PSG and Barca so it’s a bit rough to say he never succeeded. He just never got a chance

He’s had 2 good seasons at RBL with better numbers than MGW and he’s done a lot more for his national team already as well.

I’m not convinced our wage bracket and chairman are capable of signing XS but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be trying.

This MGW thing is fucking dull as dishwater now. Forest either take the 60m or we tell them to fuck off and move on.

60m is probably an overpay tbh anyway

The underlying metrics suggest their isn’t loads between Simons and MGW certainly not if you are comparing them to AM’s.

Simons a bit more versatile in an attacking sense, slight better 1v1 and can play wide, MGW better at the midfieldy things and can play 8.

It’s only really as an 8 that MGW makes sense as a signing to me, because he’s a very underwhelming 10/ACM pivot. But as an 8, he does all the off ball stuff really well, as well as having pretty good offensive metrics for an 8. Put his skill set (and attacking metrics) against AM’s though and they look a bit more meh.

I think MGW (and Kudus) are exactly the type of players Ange’s 433 system needed.

My guess is that Forest consider the matter over because they've told us not to contact them again.

MGW isn't going to force the issue and is letting his agent and the clubs do the negotiating.

So Spurs are probably working away with their legal team to see if they have any course of action. If they don't, the transfer is probably dead.

Yeah agree with all that.

tbh Simons ability to play LWF as well means you could sign both if you sell Son.
