Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can’t stand Liverpool, but fair play when they want a player they get it done no messing around.Be interesting to see how ekitike fares in the prem.
Theirs and Newcastles hit rate on big money transfers is astonishingly good tbh, since the days of signing Andy Carroll for £35m the only 2 players I can think of that didn't represent good value for money at a high fee were Naby Keita and arguably Darwin, though if he could fix his shooting issues he has all the tools to be a fucking monster in the PL so you can see why they spent so much on him. The only thing I'm holding on to with regards to Liverpool is that they have done virtually all their business buying from the Bundesliga so far this summer and that has tended to be a difficult transition for players to make in the past, Wirtz would be in good company as far as Germans coming to the PL for big money and being disappointing are concerned.

I just want to know, what happens if he gets injured during this tour? (Other than this being completely Spurs and if it’s his hamstring then he’s a perfect fit!)

But seriously, he goes on tour, does his ACL and then what? The release was triggered all along?

Any potential signing is subject to passing a medical so in that scenario thd deal will be off

If he picks up a serious injury then that's the way the dice rolls. Right now he is a Forest player, weve offered the release clause but Forest don't want to let him go at the moment. I'm sure we would have moved onto an alternative target if this deal was dead.

Nah. We'll stick it out.
Offer £65mil on deadline day.
The Fat Forest bloke will tell Levy to go fuck himself.
Levy will say 'OK

Our fans will say ...
you-tried-its-alright.gif

Or we will sign him but drag it out the whole window so that everyone is distracted from not getting any other starting 11 players signed

Am a bit concerned we don’t have enough goals in the team after yesterday. Madders needs to be pulling 15 goals to make up the slack tbh. We desperately need midfield help. All up to you, fat Greek cunt.

If he was legally our player already he wouldn't be on that tour. Until then any injuries; he's still a NF player.

I like Richy as a guy but he's not good enough overall imo, and when you consider his injury record we should definitely be looking to sell.

We have to keep improving the overall level of the squad if we want to be truly competitive.

Too many mediocre players in it and Richarlison is one of them, so is Bissouma.

I think the risk of injury to him far outweighs anything he offers to the team.

We witnessed this last season and the season before, we can't keep running Son (assuming he stays) and Solanke into the ground just because Richarlison has pulled a muscle getting off the physio's treatment table.

Forget his passion the kissing of the Spurs badge, it's what he actually produces on the pitch, and again at the start of the clubs friendlies he is again still "catching up"

What the fuck did he do all Summer?

I am through with this player and would be amazed if Frank doesn't think the same.

Playing on four fronts this season we can't carry a player in the most important part of the team.

3 unlike us when the time comes for an update they go full force and if they need to spend £300-400m in just one window they will to fix all the issues in their squad. They might then not spend for a while. So if they get 6-7 players now they might not do fuck all next year but that is ok because their squad is fixed.

This one is pure fiction.

The most they've ever spent in an entire year before now is £192m euro before sales (150m net).

.....Even with Ekitike in the bag this summer they're still 'only' at approx 240m euro (net).
