In your opinion.

But we don’t know

A) if we did meet terms, not just value but structure and/or any other terms in clause.
B) if a breach of contract has happened, and to what extent that could nullify any clauses.

My opinion is if we had met a) but b) has happened, then it could be down to a tribunal to decide, but a settlement will happen before it gets that far.

The only previous precedent I can see to this is Ziege, where Liverpool were fined, Ziege was fined and Liverpool settled out of court by paying Middlesbrough the difference between market value and release clause. They probably had more proof than Forest do about market value as had other bids for player.

Not my opinion.

Sheer fact

Forest have pretty much no legal leg to stand on

That is why you are going after the players you are to try to replace Elanga and MGW - and you know Forest are. So what other reason for going after the replacement players is there.

Not worth continuing this discussion then.

All I will say is if that really is the black and white case you state, why hasn’t the agent, club or Premier League got involved, why did the medical get cancelled, and why is it rumoured that Spurs have already offered a little bit more already ?

Also why are you saying things like players you are going after, inferring I am Forest. Have been going to Spurs since early 70s.

i'm pretty certain based on the little info we have and the way it initially came out that we did everything by the book and through the people at forest and then the BFGC got back from holiday and freaked out because they lost their two best players over the course of 2 days. i'm sure he's angry with his own people for following the rules rather than this desperate power play over one of their most loyal players whose wife is in her third trimester in a difficult pregnancy. it could work but i don't think it will. we'll get to the business end of the window and mgw and his agents are going to sue to leave and they'll win.

but as my buddy soduku says, they could all be doing the kabuki dance until they get the replacements in as well but either way i can't see him staying at this point. if there was any fire behind all the smoke i think we'd have heard about it by now.

Darwin Nunez would be interesting as a Son replacement.

He misses sitters, but his numbers - goals/assists p.90 , xa90, xg90 - are v.good, the other stuff he does is good, and he works absolute nuts off.

Can play off the left or centrally.
I would be stoked if we signed Nunez, as you say he works hard, he reads the play so well and always seems to run into the right areas. Signing a good striker after they have had a bad scoring season is better than signing a average striker after they had a good season. Massive upgrade on Solanke and Richarliason IMO. Won't happen though unfortunately.

He's shite.

That is entirely feasible, and not ruling that out at all, and yes if Marinakis (sp) wouldn’t mind selling, this wouldn’t be an issue at all.

Romano reported however we arranged medical with player and not with Forests permission, so that does bring some doubt to the events though, and then there is the refusal to comment and lack of action from Spurs or CAA, and rumoured increased offer to smooth the transaction, and the no smoke without fire breach of contract, approach player without permission and using illegally gained information for commercial gain allegations.

I really want MGW, have rated him ever since he came on as a sub against us for Wolves and dominated our midfield, but I am also not naive to think Spurs do everything by the book (employing people to spy on West Ham over Olympic stadium which ended up with 3 people being imprisoned, Archway etc) to think we might not have done something amiss here.

He'd be interesting at being crap at football. My god.

Having high xG per 90 but not actually scoring many (because you suck) isn't a good thing. He's a fucking donkey. Liverpool are desperate to get rid - a CF playing for a great side who has scored 9, 11 and 5 league goals. He runs about a bit and occasionally does something fun but he's an absolute fucking mess of a footballer.

Richarlison has had better prem seasons. Solanke's best prem season blows anything Darwin has done out of the water. Son replacement? Fucketh me ... he's absolute shit out wide!

Could it be they are not going after someone to replace MGW but someone to challenge him or rotate? Europe next year.We are wanting MGW when we have JM and DK who play the same role.

Where is the Nunez rumour coming from?
I think he is dog shit. Hope it doesn't happen.
Probably better than Solanke though.
Richy is our only decent striker. He isn't respected enough by our fans

fair enough. i guess i don't believe we arranged a medical without permission whatever that actually means. we submitted a bid and it was accepted and we booked a medical. is there wiggle room to drag out some legal battle? maybe. do we want to avoid fighting with a dishonest bad faith person like the BFGC? possibly. i just think if there was any substance to their bitching and moaning they would have run it up the flagpole for all to see by now. our silence is because we know we're right.

He isn’t. And even if he was I wouldn’t want to pay 60m + a decent wage for the privilege to fund Liverpool signing actual footballers.
I'm honestly gobsmacked that anyone could look at Nunez as a good buy. He was brought up a while ago and I posted his scoring record. 1 in 6!

He couldn't hit a cow' s arse with a banjo if the cow was staked out on the ground and he was stood 6 inches away from it!

He makes Werner's scoring record look like prime Messi.

I wouldn't take him if Liverpool were paying US £60M to take him off their hands! I'd honestly fear for the life of any fans sat in the stands behind the goal.

I just saw Werner and Messi in the same sentence.
