Kepa is an upgraded #2
Madueke provides great depth where they had none
Noorgaard is not as good as the rapist but also is not a rapist.
They will add Gykores in the next few days. The famous #9 they've needed for years.
They also finished 2nd and got to the SF of the CL.

In case you live under a rock, Tel and Danso were already here last season. Whilst they may technically have been signed permanently this summer they do not represent not squad improvements.

But you knew all that didn't you dumb dumb.

It feels like people talk about stuff like "we used to sign players like Gascoigne" with hindsight, because we've signed a lot of players who were pretty much the same profile as he was at the point we signed them, but that doesn't seem to count if they don't turn out the same (ignoring that it is unlikely Gazza would get have got as far in the modern professional game).

There's too much obsession with people trying to define what 'big clubs' do when a lot of it is just pure dumb luck and chance.

Educated people will agree with you.

People love to look for causal narratives but that leads to very well documented biases. Probably the biggest one is discounting the role that luck or random variance plays in outcomes.

There's zero sense in comparing our squad or transfer window to Woolwich or City or Liverpool. All those 3 have squad in different phases.

We are at stage of building a core. These teams already have a core and proper XI - its just pointless to compare us to them. Whether we like it or not, Frank is beginning with a clean slate - he has a decent young squad which underachieved big time. He is doing his first preseason. Theres atleast 7 players to get rid to even come to 25 man squad.

He has task cutout to first identify , who he doesnt want. Arteta or Pep or Slot don't have these issues.

Instead of calling others dumb , you better get a dose of reality
