Oh really!
So what gives you that impression?

Oh really!
I don't know if you're trying to be funny or just deliberately obtuse here (I don't always recognise humour well so if it's the former then apologies). It wasn't me who used the word 'fanatics', it was JT, and if you read his post (which began "These fanatics that desperately try to defend the indefensible"), it's pretty obvious that he meant something like this:
Everybody else is wrong we are right . I have said it before it’s like the mum watching an army parade of a thousand soldiers , the proud mum saying why are the other 999 soldiers all out of step .Great post
These fanatics that desperately try to defend the indefensible regarding our turnover to wages disparity with everyone else.
I'd be interested to see how low we would need to drop before they said
.... "hang on. Something isn't right here"
35% maybe? 30%?
I actually get the feeling there would never be a tipping point for them because they have a mission to always defend the owners with their lives despite all of the glaring evidence that's laid before them.
It is not illustrative of ENIC getting it right. Two cups in 25 years is not a successful strategy. It's pretty much in line with the previous and what we have always been. What's better Hutton or Bale the end result was the same. And wasn't Hutton signed under ENIC? It's like you can only judge us against failure but not better run strategical successful clubs. Why?No, it was to point out all the players that have come through our doors of which we can be proud, and to show the track record of smart signings.
See, I'm not impressed by being told that once upon a time we bought Gazza, considering we also bought a bunch of players nowhere near him. Teddy Sheringham we signed for a club record, and he was top scorer in the league that year, while the team finished 8th. The season after that we came 15th, and definitely without the UEFA Cup alongside it.
But it is better. Dembele and Bale were better signings than Hutton and Rebrov.
IMOI don't know if you're trying to be funny or just deliberately obtuse here (I don't always recognise humour well so if it's the former then apologies). It wasn't me who used the word 'fanatics', it was JT, and if you read his post (which began "These fanatics that desperately try to defend the indefensible"), it's pretty obvious that he meant something like this:
...A fanatic is someone with extreme, often unreasonable, enthusiasm or devotion to a cause, belief, or activity. This devotion can manifest as intense, uncritical support or even obsessive behavior. The term can be used both informally and with a disapproving connotation.
...rather than football fans. JT is fanatical, i.e. totally obsessive with and consumed by his hatred of the owners.
Of course JT isn't a Levy-fan in the supportive sense - rather he is a fanatic in relation to his cause, which is condemnation of the owners in every post.
IMOHonest John meant the football version of fanatic which is the same meaning as fan. He even agreed with my post on the matter that you responded to, so that clears up what he meant.
Sure, some football fans (fanatics) will often defend their team, their player, their owner, even when they are in the wrong.

If you want to spend your time on here harassing him, then that's your choice but if anything it's you that is misusing the forum.

Recently we've had a couple of Forest fanatics on here doing just that.
I'm 100% sure that's what JT meant.
I remember you promising"He even agreed with my post on the matter that you responded to, so that clears up what he meant."
Please tell me you're not being serious? He agrees with everything posted by anyone who agrees with him. No one in their right mind could read his post and think that in that context, he was simply calling those who defend the owners 'fans' - if so then why would he say 'fanatics' rather than just 'fans'? You are embarassing yourself by trying to claim that - have some dignity for heaven's sake.
RE: Harassing him - he is the one claiming that others "ignore glaring evidence" and clearly (well for anyone with any sense) calling people 'fanatics' in a negative sense etc - if he wants to dish out such accusations (and there are hundreds of others I could dig out) then he must accept them too. Whilst he continues to spout nonsense, I (and plenty of others) will continue to call it out as such. Just because you agree with his thrust, that doesn't mean him doing something is valid whilst me doing it is 'misusing the forum'.
I don't feel baited by his posts, it's nothing to be concerned about. As much as people attempt to defend him, JT posts for reactions - not discussion.
He was baiting, as per usual. Look up the times he uses the word 'fanatic' and it is used to antagonise ('Levy fanatic', 'ENIC fanatic' etc). He uses 'fan' in normal contexts.
Doing what? So JT is allowed to post whatever he likes, criticise others, and we are not allowed to respond? :/I remember you promisingAberdeenYid that you would stop doing this.

Exactly. He's one of a small number of stalkers that follow me around angling for a bite.If you want to spend your time on here harassing him, then that's your choice but if anything it's you that is misusing the forum
Any chance you can promise to not ride into this thread like a white knight any time someone has a pop at John Thomas and his obvious trolling?I remember you promisingAberdeenYid that you would stop doing this.
I think they want you to say they are Levy Fans rather than Levy Fanatics. It doesn't make much of a difference but seems to be their gripe.OK. So let me clear this up. (This place is mad, lol)
If someone is relentlessly defending something that is indefensible, despite all the evidence laid out in front of them, then, in my humble opinion they are fanatical to the cause they are supporting. In this case ENIC.
We spend less of our revenue on our squad, not specifically but especially through player wages, which is undeniable and widely reported by every reasonable outlet.
This clearly means we are attracting a lower calibre of player than we otherwise could be. Or should be.
This is the way ENIC choose to operate . They don't have to. They choose to.
So. Anyone who spends day after day supporting this position and fighting back against fans who voice their frustration and who think it sucks, are, in my opinion, fanatical in their support for the OWNERS!
that's what i think. And that's where this ridiculous discussion, as far as I'm concerned, ends
But relentlessly repeating anti ENIC opinions is not fanatical? I am not pro ENIC but cringe when I see you or another poster keep showing the table of 2023/24 season wages to revenue table. As I have also said before any employee is more interested in actual wages rather than this ratio. The table showing total wages is different and whilst showing us in 7th place which is maybe too low it Is more realistic than bottom.OK. So let me clear this up. (This place is mad, lol)

I'm actually 'liking' this (!), a). because it dispells the ridiculous trolling claim (not by you I should point out) that you just meant 'football fan' when you said 'fanatics' (OK. So let me clear this up. (This place is mad, lol)
