Seems the same as he did at Brentford imo, I think this is just Frank. He ends his sentences with uptalk/upspeak. So if he says "do you know what I mean?", "mean" will end higher pitched, not neutrally. It's pretty common for people who aren't strong public speakers or who are lack confidence.

Do I give a shit? Absolutely not. I care about his ability to manage a football team. Not how he feels speaking to a room full of parasitic journalist scum who will jump on any opportunity to twist his words in a second language.

Lol. Just saying what I feel. I could understand if he's really nervous. It's fine if you didn't think so. If he's the same even at Brentford maybe he's just not the sort of public speaking people. Anyway last I remember people were commenting all sorts of shit about Ange coughing, looking at the ground, being an introvert and socially awkward breed etc. So this wouldn't be the first and the last of people commenting on manager's presentation in pressers.
 
Glad to see Frank wants to work with our academy that is a reknowned conveyor belt for talent . In my time as a Spurs fan, well over 50 years we have produced 4 truly top class players . Hoddle , Campbell🤮, King and Kane . I can’t think of any others that fit my criterior of elite level players. However after 25 years no doubt Daniel will provide Frank with a class of 92 type crop of youngsters . We bought Bergvall , Gray and Vuskovic to compliment this avalanche of talent we are about to unleash,, not to plug the lack of elite level talent being developed.

Mikey Moore might be great , I really hope he is but he ain’t a game changer right now

Even the level below those 4 i can only think of 2 in the last 30/35 years who were really good prem players, Barmby and Carr.

By and large its playeys like Townsend, Livermore, Mason, Skipp, Winks who are alright squad players for a couple of years before being moved on or the many overhyped ones that dont amount to much.

Our issue is we overhype young players especially homegrown ones. At the moment we are still producing decent players constantly that will move on and have decent careers but not players that will actually make a massive difference to us and be a game changer. Very few do at any club. Is Mikey going to be that guy? There’s signs but I still don’t see that crazy spark that will make him a regular any time soon.

Every manager we hire will come with the same buzz words about the academy

The reality for every single one of them is the same; they will play the academy kids if they are good enough or it will cost them their job

Apparently in Brentford pressers there would only be 6 reporters in the room with him.

At the Spurs one the other day the room was packed. He’s never had to deal with that number of journo’s before

Absolutely correct. He’s not going to come in and say the kids have no chance of playing which is generally the case. I’ll bet with anyone that Donley and Devine don’t start 10 league games between them in their Tottenham careers. Managers at clubs like ours don’t have time to develop young players in the first team.
It’s just a part of being at a big club. You need to be extra special and maybe Mikey might be the one later.
