Kinsky made about 10 bad mistakes

Kinsky made more than two bad errors.
I would say he made more bad errors that led directly to goals in the few matches he played - than Vic has in total.

Kinsky errors are more worrying because they are handling - the very essence of goalkeeping.
Set pieces - distribution can be coached and improved. Handling is more intrinsic.
Based on what we have seen so far - Kinsky just does not look like a good keeper.

He is young and may improve - loan is a good option

Easy to make claims that he made 10 mistakes. Show it in evidence...

As I have shown above, he had a better save % than Vicario last season, inspite of never having played a single minute with the best back 2 or back4. He had Gray playing LB in some games....

I dont mind Kinsky loan but we need proper backup now...given Vicario isnt good enough anyway.

Vicario is a good shot stopper but has lot of errors in him and is limited on ball. This season he will be Franks no1 by looks of things. If so, under a organised defense , lets see how he does. If Vicario does well, he stays. Else we have to improve on him next summer....whether that will be Kinsky or someone far better

We need a proper #1 mate, never mind a backup...

Off the top of my head. That resulted in goals
Two against Woolwich, Two against Liverpool, one or two against Villa.
When and if I have time I will be more specific.
A keeper who makes a lot of handling errors is not a good keeper.
It doesn't matter who the cbs are.

Kinsky even made a bad mistake in the first preseason friendly.

Ange system = Goalkeeper under pressure = mistakes

Kinsky’s mistakes weren’t system related. They were just terrible handling errors. That goal in the NLD for example should never have gone in along with others.

Kinsky is absolutely better than Vicario on the ball and in the air but his shot stopping and concentration aren’t at the same level. A loan will be good for him. He’s incredibly young for a keeper.

I'm glad Kinsky is getting a loan move- would be best for him to get as many games as possible so he can improve.

Looks like we need to split #2 duties between Austin and some wily old vet we probably overpay a bit to stay on the bench.

I liked Austin a lot in his minutes last season and think he can be a good backup keeper for us.
Austin is a truly bizarre case. Didn't he sign a new 5 year contract last year to start the season behind Teflon Vic and Lurch and when he did get a chance, he was promptly replaced by Antonio "polo mint" Kinsky

Agree . am not convinced of Vicario - But I cant see him being replaced this summer

He did make errors last season! But he is young and was behind a makeshift defence in the worst team in years.

I think it’s a tough choice, he is a confident lad and I doubt he wants to warm the bench for another season and play only in weakened teams in the first few stages of the league and FA cups. But if we loan him then we only have Austin as backup.

I’d personally like to see Frank make him his No1 and then deal with the Vic situation. We can still get good money for Vic and he is an age where he won’t get much better.

Also a side note…. For all Kinskys handling errors, Vic’s dropping or that cross was the worst of the bunch! Switch out VdV for any other player on the planet and that goes in and we likely go on to lose that game

But I thought the guy you don't mind going on loan is supposed to be the backup.

Only the context is, we paid 15m for him.
So he is either a no1 or loaned out to be no1 elsewhere....

Keeping Kinsky and not giving him game time helps no one.

Also, the fact is we need to reduce foriegn player list. Kinsky wasnt even part of EL winning squad last season. So, loaning him out and having home grown kind of helps.

Its all a tough decision and there is pros & cons to everything

You wonder if this is being driven by Kinsky himself finding out he's not going to be in the CL squad.

Not a choice we wanted to make, but what else are we supposed to do?

If we get martinez from villa as no 2 i can live with kinsky going out on loan.
Martinez ain't #2 to literally anybody. Brilliant keeper.

But alas, our homegrown problems still apply.

If were sending kinsky on loan to lille and he does well. Next year i can see him replacing vicario next year. I do rate kinsky tbh.
He's got special technical ability with his feet for a keeper, you can see what our scouts saw. And still very young for a keeper.

Maybe it is a good idea to get him games to kick on his development. But what on earth are we gonna do if anything happens to Vic?
