Nah, this one WILL actually happen - completely different dynamics and all that.
I think it would be more accurate to say he would make the bench of all the big clubs, but no more than that.
Palhinha is clearly the cheap option but there is a very good player in there to be utilised.
Frank would have loved him at Brentford, and im sure here too, so will be interesting to see how Palhinha is utilised and how well he plays.

So look, it’s the cheap option and not an entirely inspiring one. He won’t play line breaking passes or awe us with his skill like Wharton would. It’s like signing Parker a decade ago under ‘Arry. He’s very busy, a pressing/tackling demon and a hatchet man who will give us some real bite. I do like it though, he’s not perfect but the things he’s good at, he’s REALLY good at, and in big CL matches or vs the likes of Slot’s Liverpool, he’ll give us real steel in the spine of our side.
You need experienced fighters to compete in CL and at 30 he’s still got a lot left to give. He’d singlehandedly keep Fulham in big matches two years ago, that didn’t desert him.

He will not be that good but 70-80% of Parker would be enough.
Wouldn't have been my first choice, but Frank can probably still squeeze a couple of good seasons out of him in his system. Certainly adds some experience and 'grinta' to our midfield.

Not quite the footballer and passer Scotty was, but likely a better tackler, and certainly will provide steel to our defense.
The idea with him will be you can play two passers next to/in front of him, and he’ll free up our wingbacks and the likes of Madders and Bergvall to have more freedom going forward

He brings what we don't currently have. We need someone that tackles hard and shows up every weekend (even if 'Palinha Delux' would be preferable).
Baleba has to be the target. Proper ball winner and practically very well rounded as a footballer but ball winning is his major quality.
Levy needs to recognise but most importantly act, in which if we truly want to challenge for the PL, we have no choice but to splash the cash on players like Baleba.
Just like how Chelski spent all that money on Caicedo & Lavia and other players with a similar profile.

Fine by me. If he matches Parker and becomes our player of the season and one of the best DM’s in the league amazing but even a Palacios is something as you say we don’t have.
Team balance though we will need more creativity, the MGW deal falling through is a kicker.
He is an amazing defensive midfielder. Huge and tall as well. Top top signing.
