Baleba has to be the target. Proper ball winner and practically very well rounded as a footballer but ball winning is his major quality.

Levy needs to recognise that if we truly want to challenge for the PL, we have no choice but to splash the cash on players like Baleba.

Just like how Chelski spent all that money on Caicedo & Lavia and other players with a similar profile.

I like Wharton but isnt he injury prone?

Saying the above and then name-checking Wharton makes no sense.

....But; no. Not like Chelsea. They're not an example. They're a basket case.

Not quite the footballer and passer Scotty was, but likely a better tackler, and certainly will provide steel to our defense.

The idea with him will be you can play two passers next to/in front of him, and he’ll free up our wingbacks and the likes of Madders and Bergvall to have more freedom going forward
Giving freedom to Bergvall, Bentancur or Sarr as his double pivot partners will be his biggest impact if it works out.

Levy needs to recognise but most importantly act, in which if we truly want to challenge for the PL, we have no choice but to splash the cash on players like Baleba.

But you must found Baleba, Caicedo and similar players before they go to Brighton.

He will allow the full backs and other midfielders to be more attacking as he gives great cover.

The one thing I like about the signing is that he’s physical. We seem to be trying to be more physical under Frank which is needed to consistently boss premier league games.

I’m not sold on this one but I’m somewhat sold on the general principle of it.

If he hadn't got injured....
