The reason Frank wants Palhinha.

We have got a guy who is A+ off the ball and D on the ball. Wharton was the player I most wanted but that is a £80-100m signing.
I think the playing of through balls is less of an issue when you potentially have Romero who can thread a pass from deep.

I think it’s more important to have a monster like Palhinha to break up the play and then offload to Romero or our 8/10 to split their midfield.

Good signing Paulinha. May not be the no6 most wanted - but he is certainly a profile we don’t have in squad.

Hope is he has still got that sharpness from 2 yrs back. If he brings that form ,we have some player on our hands. He will free up likes of Bergvall Maddison
Looking at how well we defended yesterday and adding Palhinha to the mix we should be pretty solid at the back. I hope Frank's remit is to, first of all, make us hard to beat. We can then build from there.

Norgaard won’t be starting - Zubimendi will (who is a great footballer)
HOw many times have you seen Zubamendi play? Did you follow every game os Real Socidad last season. Does the spanish league replicate the intensity of the Prem. Obviousily with the scum and Liverpool's interest he is rated highly but he did not stand out massively against a midfield that consisted of Cassemiro and Fernandes playing deep.

If we sell Son and expect Tel and Odobert to match his goal contributions (the highest in our squad) then we are completely fucked.

Neither of those players would start for Fulham never mind a CL team.

Because of injury, and a January move to us neither have started many games for Spurs, Tel playing in three different positions because of the number of our injuries.

Odobert played a very good game yesterday.

Both would improve Fulham, in fact they would improve many PL teams.

6ft 3" destroyer in the middle is going to give Romero and Micky a rest at long, long last.
Hopefully shielding them will result in less errors by our defence.
