Absolutely right decision.

Legend of the club, up there with my favourite player of recent years Vertoghen and like Verts left us when his legs where losing power and the Premier Legaue was getting too much.

He has avoided a Fat Elvis period with us and will be remembered for his goals and great personality as well of course as the captain of the EL win. I am happy the club is letting him decide where to go and having his final game in South Korea probably.

I just wish the club had found a way to celebrate Vertoghen, Lloris and Dembele like they are with Son. This is how a legend should leave. His opportunity in LA is the right time as well, proper enjoy his football now with nothing left to prove.

Additionally it’s now a great time for Odobert, Tel and Johnson to stake a claim and rise up. Son has given that opportunity to them

Yeah. They get a year to make a run at it most likely. If neither steps up to the plate then the LW position becomes a priority in 2026.

Getting Kudus in for the right wing softens the blow somewhat. Even if we all want another good quality player on the left immediately.

Sad to see, but in the end it's a good move for him, it's a good move for Spurs and if he ends up at LAFC it will be a fantastic move for them.

There is a huge Korean population in LA, Orange County and the Inland Empire, they will become instant LAFC fans

Couldn’t have planned it better. Who mostly great years, wins the EL as captain, leaves as his body slows down avoiding decline. I am not sad I am happy, here at the right time, left at the right time and in America will have a new extended career.

I'd say loyalty is part of greatness though. To be a Spurs great you need to be loyal. Bale and Modric had greater technical ability, but Sonny rightly deserves the greatest tag over them and Kane.

Part of the reason I love Verts, he could have gone Woolwich but choose to come to us and then with us could have left for Barca at his peak when an offer came in but choose to stay. I am just glad at least one of our big players got a trophy to sign off on and as captain as well, too many players leaving to win cups.
