No he hasn’t you mental watch him playHe’s got everything you want in a DM imo. Technically good enough to play through pressure, passing range, defensive awareness and has the ability to drive the ball forwards
Im glad we got him a year of playing with Son as well.
He should have been subbedGlad he finally had a good runout at CM. Bags of potential.
And took an elbow from a thug like a champ
Alright milquetoast
Played enough rugby to know the extent of head injuries. Why take the risk? Just take him off. It’s not hard, or tough to play through a head injury in a friendly you brain damaged dinosaur

He’s still way too timid. I was glad to see that Newcastle player punch him in the face off the ball
That’s the sort of thing he needs to dish out
I reckon palhinha can be a great influence
He didn’t play as the deepest mid until Bentancur went off. He was patrolling that left channel and had license to get ahead of the ball. He just looked much more comfortable than playing with his back to play receive the ball from CBs, etc.
That Newcastle midfield is pretty brutal and to be fair he didn’t go missingHe has been too timid I agree.
Put the boot in a bit today. Was more aggressive at Leeds. Hopefully we see it all the time this season
Ok, Shipman
he was quality -Hugely promisingThat Newcastle midfield is pretty brutal and to be fair he didn’t go missing
Honestly? Why?Got no problem with him playing the more advanced role a bit this season but long term he’s going to be immense in the deep
Frank told him Brentford were going to use him as box to box for a couple of years when he first tried to sign him. Later moving to 6.:That was his best game for us, especially in the first half. Looked far more suited to that box to box role than the sitting position.
By the way, with regards to subbing him I was talking about the early clash of heads not that flick from Joelinton! Crossed wires I think. Just seen that realised you were taking about Jolelinton, The flick was definitely f all
thinking back to that incident you’re probably right considering it was a friendlyBy the way, with regards to subbing him I was talking about the early clash of heads not that flick from Joelinton! Crossed wires I think. The flick was definitely f all![]()
