WE MAKE MORE MONEY THAN CHELSH!T AND YET!!!!!!
WHENEVER THEY WANT A PLAYERS, BOOM! GETS DONE WITHIN DAYS.
WHY DO WE ALWAYS HAVE TO DRAG DEALS, OVERTHINK THEM, TRY TO GET A BARGAIN WHEN WE FULLY KNOW WE NEED THAT PLAYER?!!!!!!!!

HOW DO THEY DO IT.

WHO EVER IS RUNNING THEIR RECRUITING AND CONTRACTING SHOULD BE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR CEO/OWNER/GM/SCOUT/FOOTBALL DIRECTOR.

They just struck gold with club World Cup money (100m+ in total revenue) and they’ve made a killing in sales with more to come like 30m for Broja etc.
True but I thought it was something like they can only register players in Europe that have been paid for by outgoing player sales? They've spent over 200mil and haven't brought in anything like that. I might be wrong but that's what i thought Uefa had ruled on them.

Is this you pretending that a guy with excellent numbers in Germany who is very well recognised on the international stage as a highly talented player (and has been for years) isn’t an impressive acquisition?

He personally wouldn’t have to watch him. Simons is hardly a hidden gem, he’s one of Europe’s most productive and creative midfielders in his age bracket.
Amazing stats. But as you know well, someone with great stats can be an unimpressive footballer ;)

I don’t think it’s crazy to suggest that people watch someone play before advocating for us to spend 70m.

Hadn’t heard that.

Tbh they’ll probably end the window selling Nkunku to Saudi for 100m.

I know Simons seems to be a “boyhood Chelsea fan” etc, but it’s surely worth asking him the question and telling him he’d be the main man in the 10…
Levy: 'Xavi, it's Dan, Tottenham chairman. How would you like to play for me instead of Chelsea. I'll be happy to pay you mid table wages" ?

Simons 'Fuuck off you slimey twerp and don't bother me again. Got it"

Levy "Ok. Thanks anyway"

Palhina = highest tackler in Premier League over two seasons.
Werner = prem tested but couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo.
Lenglet = La Liga cast off and untested in prem.

So not even remotely in the same category of punt!

Even calling Palhinha a "punt" is disingenuous.......... He's prem proven and has a perfectly evident skillset.

How many players do Chelsea need, Jesus Christ. It's surely overkill and can't be good for squad harmony imo.
The way I'm starting to think of the Boehly project is almost like a currency exchange rate play.

They essentially think of talented 18-22 yo footballers as an asset class that inflates faster than the broader market, and via the loan system PSR is really the only ceiling on how big of a portfolio they can create. It's an index fund of sorts.

Turning it into a football team is Enzo Maresca's problem. He knows and accepts the project.

It is absolutely not the most efficient way to turn all this money into points in the table. But that's not the point.
