EPL experience is a fallacy. Did ManC worry about that when they bought Cherki, Rodri, Haaland, Diaz, Silva x2, etc?

We need 2-3 first teamers who improve us. The new regime of Vanai and Lange with their data-led approach have to make the right calls.

I always thought glory hunters were strange but some of you would genuinely be happier supporting Chelsea or Man City. Every season you would feel the ambition of the transfer market. Why support a team like spurs if it makes you miserable?

Shame about his injury record (and average stamina), otherwise I'd have loved to bring in Oihan Sancet from Bilbao.

Only 25yo but 200ish pro club games to his name, also 4 caps for Spain. Can play as an 8 or 10, good with either peg. Man knows where the goal is...15 in 19 La Liga starts last season + 2 in the Europa League. Only registered 1 assist in the league last season (2 in the EL), but got 5 the year before that when he started more games. The kid's also 6ft2 so he can hold his own in duels, win headers, win the ball back and as with most Spanish CM it's a right task to nick the ball off them.

But yeah he's got hamstrings a la Micky...missed 20 games over the past two seasons and vast majority was cause of that. Way too risky for the 50 odd mil he'd cost.
