Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Chelsea selling 2 players to Burnley and now supposedly drewsbury hall to Everton as well so making room for Simons. Shame, another target we could have gotten. We tried FC

I get that argument with Chelsea, as they are the epicentre of dodginess, but I don’t get that feeling with the Red Scouse. Maybe there is something there though. Might be the easiest and most likely explanation.

Only really since FSG, and a big US consortium will have fingers in different pies. Not really worth the effort of unpicking it all, but it seems to be very odd that they can sign a player for £10m and flip them for £30m without developing them. (arbitrary example but typical of how they manage things)

From this, he doesn't look like he has a plan. He just gets the ball and makes it up as he goes.
And ya know what? I dig that. If he doesn't know what he's gonna do next, how do you defend it?
Son has become predictable hence his massive drop in output. We need something less predictable.

Aye, I like unpredictable. Risk taking.

Only problem is that the rest of the team probably would prefer him to be predictable, so they can take up the correct positions themselves.

Overall though, I’m leaning towards “fuck it, just do it”.

WE MAKE MORE MONEY THAN CHELSH!T AND YET!!!!!!
WHENEVER THEY WANT A PLAYERS, BOOM! GETS DONE WITHIN DAYS.
WHY DO WE ALWAYS HAVE TO DRAG DEALS, OVERTHINK THEM, TRY TO GET A BARGAIN WHEN WE FULLY KNOW WE NEED THAT PLAYER?!!!!!!!!

HOW DO THEY DO IT.

WHO EVER IS RUNNING THEIR RECRUITING AND CONTRACTING SHOULD BE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR CEO/OWNER/GM/SCOUT/FOOTBALL DIRECTOR.

Wouldn't be against adding Grealish for a year or two if the deal was right tbh. Tons of experience at top level could have a resurgence. Of course I would rather a huge money star to replace Sonny but thats not happening is it.

Got fucking disaster written all over it IMO, bring a renowned party boy to London and try and motivate him to get back to his best in a team he will immediately think he's the best player in whether he still has the talent to back it up or not... Not keen.

One look at his estimated salary and bonuses on capology comfortably puts this rumour to bed IMO, surely we have to give him a payrise to accept a move here and there's no fucking way on god's green earth we're going to improve on what he's currently paid. We have literally never had a player on that much money.

Rodrygo has dropped from an almost 'first name on the team sheet' player to 'lucky to get off bench every 3rd or 4th game' player due to competition from other players including Bellingham, so he's keen to move.

However lots of clubs keen to get him, both Liverpool and top european clubs, so its a scramble as to who is going to get him - and with a big fee involved he probably winlt get much of a pay rise whoever buys, but likely to get offers of regular CL football in seasons to come.

And probably we will be one club in six to get to detailed talks so don't bet on getting him.

Our transfer window is like The Great Escape at Xmas . Guaranteed to be on but it will always end the same.
I am sitting there every Xmas hoping Steve McQueen clears that last fence knowing he won’t.
Then watch him throwing his baseball against the wall saying he tried
Meanwhile Daniel Levy lookalike Donald Pleasance gets on everyone’s tits and takes James Garner down the crapper with him

EDIT:

If Steve gets away we replace Madders with quality

Grealish is beyond finished.

El Khannouss would be a legitimately better signing, kept his head above water in what was a horrible Leicester team.

At this stage, Grealish would be a reclamation project. Not quite Dele level rehab, but pretty close. He doesn't have the burst of pace to play as a genuine LW, and mostly he just recycles possession there. As an ACM, I think he's unproven.

In his final season at Villa, in the Championship, Grealish was played as a deeper lying schemer, not as a 10.

Pep has hardly ever trusted Grealish as an ACM for Shitty. Carsley tried Grealish there for England, and both Maddison & Eze would have been better choices because they were playing regularly and know the position much better.

Plus there have to be huge doubts about Grealish's fitness & durability. I doubt he could play 90 minutes twice a week for a full season.

I don't think we should take the risk in such a crucial position, but if we do the deal it surely has to be the same as Palhinha: loan with option, not obligation. That way if the Grealish resurrection project fails, we're not stuck with an ageing player on massive wages.

The upside is that signing Grealish would hugely annoy my friend bus-conductor bus-conductor so the banter would be spectacular......

A Few Moments later........

Arrogance I will never understand.

Watch the interview, as annoyed as I am with the transfer window, I have zero issues with what he actually said around this quote.

Levy absolutely doesn’t get as much credit as he could for the stadium and training facilities.

But should he get that credit? He will get his credit when he sells his massively inflated stake in the club. He’s been successful with it and will have set his family’s future for generations as a result

No, he will do well under Moyes. Everton doing some good business

I have a feeling Dibling will be similar to the likes of Bowen, Eze, Olise, Wharton where many clubs looked, including us, but never took a chance on them
I just think staying at Southampton and having a year in the Championship is a faster route to where he wants to be than going to Everton.

Going to Everton now for £35m or so means he's going to have to have an incredible stint there to generate enough interest to get the top clubs to stump up closer to the £100m that Southampton previously mooted. I'm not totally convinced that Everton under Moyes is the best environment for a flashy teenage winger to prosper to that extent.

If he doesn't absolutely tear it up then he's just stuck at Everton, and nobody wants that...

Stay at Southampton and a decent year in the Championship would see better clubs falling over themselves to sign him with just 12 months left on his contract.

He started 22 league games for them last season, came off the bench in 8 and would likely see a similar number of starts next season so that's a bit of a disingenuous assessment of his playing time, he may be keen to move but certainly not here. However much we want to manifest it players around the world would probably view us in the same light as Villa, Newcastle and current United, not Liverpool, Woolwich, City, Bayern, Real etc. He would likely move to one of those clubs for no substantial payrise, but a club like Spurs has to sweeten the deal significantly to tempt a player AWAY from one of those clubs, especially if they're starting more often than not (just about).
