Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I did think a 17th place finish might have jolted them into semi competence or urgency but spend wise, nothing. I think my early window prediction was for 1 biggish £50m signing, Angel Gomes and Dibling.

Just pointing out due to chronic ongoing injuries and a lack of the afforementioned urgency that the squad is royally fucked.
He’s delusional about the quality of the squad. He overspent on some bog standard players. Hes said its impossible for Tottenham to finish 17th. Clearly not and if they don’t do something drastic I think he’s going to be finding that out again. mid table squad that could be in trouble with another bout of injuries.

A lot of words and (sometimes unjustified) nostalgia here. But most of it is completely off topic.

Some people are disingenuously suggesting that we should be expecting to compete for the league or champions league even though that hasn’t been where we are as a club in the past 60 years.

If your argument is we should be competing for domestic cups then that is different.
You understand statistics not eras . If you were winning the FA cup , the UEFA cup you were a club competing at the elite level . Winning the FA cup was considerably more important than finishing 2nd , 3rd or 4th in the league, therefore you were an elite level competitive club . As I said you understand raw statistics , but you have zero idea about the club you purport to support . Unfortunately time travel is impossible and you seem impervious to education .

EDIT: I can imagine you telling a Vietnam veteran he doesn’t know what he is talking about because you watched the Rambo franchise

Yeah, but look at the difference between his right and left thigh.
The ACL he ruptured was in his right knee (which looks the thicker thigh in the photo).

If you look carefully you can also see the scar across the right knee.

Muscle degradation is less of an issue nowadays as you’re not plastered for six weeks like I was in ‘91 when I ended up with a twig of a left leg! 😂

I think what you’ve picked up on is just a trick of the angle of the photo.

Is it mad that I’m kinda rooting for Newcastle to get Sesko, Liverpool get Isak, just so they may pass on Rodrygo and the tiny chance he considers us??
Rowan Atkinson GIF

The worst thing about those hopes is that those clubs will all complete those massive transfers and Levy won’t be able to do his part with Rodrygo

Probably our best run in the past 60 years was after being relegated. We bounced back and won
1977: Relegated
1978: Promoted
1981: FA Cup
1982: FA Cup
1984: UEFA Cup

That sort of fluidity just wouldnt be possible today. No promoted team is winning that within six years of promotion.

It was a different age but you don’t want to acknowledge how much tougher the football landscape has become now. You pine for a simpler age when FA Cups were glorious and players earned £500/week.

That’s fine and beautiful but it’s not the world we’re living in.

That’s a big drop.

How did Son play in his first season for us?

Patience is needed and trust in what Frank see's in Tel and Odobert.

From AI

'After his first season with Spurs in 2015-16, where he struggled to adapt to the Premier League and had limited playing time, Son approached then-manager Mauricio Pochettino about his desire to leave the club and return to Germany. The Telegraph reported that Pochettino was prepared to sell Son'

I am sure that I read somewhere that Leeds wanted Solomon on a perminent deal?

Bissouma to the Pikey's?

We need rid of Richy, but i can's seen any team in European football wanting an oft injured player who can't score.

Romero will likely be our Captain come the Munich game.

Yeah I think Leeds will want Solomon on a permanent. I also think he'll go and it'll be the next thing that'll be held against the club on here with the men-in-black mind wiping tool when nearly no one wants to keep him.

Bissouma will probably be Turkey IMO. I doubt another PL club will pay his wages as he's a 6/10 player since we've bought him.

I reckon Richarlison will be a revelation if he can keep fit. Proper cheerleader mentality too

Grealish is just twenty nine, and a player that we could get on a season loan, and is obviously English.

He has skill and pace and can pass the ball, and chip in with a goal or two. He made thirty two appearances las season and and one hundred and twenty over the past three seasons for City.

We need this type of player and the bullshit about his attitude is a myth, he played over thirty games last season for Pep, a disciplinarian.

Fans in here are very picky, believing that half the players available in Europe are lining up to play for us, but wake up and smell the coffee, they are not.
Grealish doesn't have pace he's an English kulu

Yes, it's not the modern era, but you're the one that went back 60 years to that era
