Understandable.
I don't think it's about supporting Levy,and it's not as though we haven't bought with a sense of the future.. I think that's clear when you look at Gray, Tel. Odobert and Bergvall, and can't just be dismissed.
I think the concerns from my standpoint are probably threefold and sorry to be repetitive but as follows:
We don't really have a quality striker. For a club our size that's criminal. Johnson is our most potent attacker.
It's impossible to know who is determining what the team needs,so it's hard to pinpoint blame? For example has Frank said he wants a striker but been told no, or what? No idea.
Surely someone/people in the club have to say to Levy, if you say what you said, it's not an achievable aim unless you are going to have a structure and expenditure that makes it realistic?
Power is a very weird thing. It absolutely can and often does corrupt absolutely but we seem to once again be in this weird parallel universe of believing we are a big club,having won the 2nd biggest European club tournament and yet going backwards.
I didn't expect this if I'm being entirely honest.

What is really depressing is that it is becoming ever more apparent that Kudus and MGW were the only two deals we put any planning or legwork into prior to the window opening, Palhinha reeks of opportunism whether it is an upgrade to the first team or not, would have been impossible to tell what Bayern's intentions for the player were in the months between the end of the winter window and the opening of this one.
There are no lists of targets, no plan B for if a move doesn't happen, we are not trying to identify the correct players to fill roles in the team, we will likely only sign players in the last week of the window as owners get desperate to balance the books after spending big, I expect particular interest to be taken in Spain where wage restrictions are much stricter even than here and the likes of Atleti and Real have large net spends already, Juventus could certainly do with a player sale or two if they aren't getting a decent fee for Vlahovic to get rid of him before his gargantuan contract expires, Milan need a rebuild, needless to say it won't be anyone so good as to be coveted without being actively for sale up until late August in the window, of course.

I agree. Whatever we do now in the market, it won't be soon enough for the players to train and play together before the season starts, since our medicals take forever and so does closing any deal.
Once these kind of links (guesses) start it usually means we aren’t in for anyone decent whatsoever.
We work so fast at getting players out on loan, we just don't want to buy anyone decent and pay the going rate.
