I get the feeling they are really just trying to buy abit more time at this point to finish the project in full. The hotels and whatever else they have planned will be completed and once thats all done finally cash in, maximised.
They simply treading water at this point, they could find ways if they really wanted too but no.
What was the money that was put in a couple of years ago used for? Was it used on players or was it not drawn down at all?
Whatever happened it is clear, the off field stuff is far more of a priority because of the value it adds.
Are we really to believe that building these apartments is all happening so we can suddenly flip a switch and suddenly buy top player, oh please if anyone thinks so there just beyond help at this point.
It's pretty obious what they are doing, and have been for so long. They just keep telling the fans what they want to hear, keep moving the goal posts, just to keep the fans from full on revolting, just to give them enough time to carry out their agenda.
Levy and ENIC have had a plan all along, to maximise the profit they make by maximising the value of the club, through the stadium, training ground and property. It is not, by pumping millions into the club to spend on player transfers. That is money wasted as far as they are concerned. Spend 60 mill here and there and a few cheap punts, try to stick around the top 6, ideally get into CL every so often, but winning is a nice to have, not the ultimate goal.
I'm amazed if anyone hasn't clocked this by now.
Remember when Levy spent over a decade telling us all that we would compete once the new stadium opened. Haha, that was bollocks.
Sure, we maybe spend a little more on transfers, but in terms of the top 6 we still spend peanuts on wages and fees.
Again, Levy was just tagging us all along for 10 years, biding time as they carried out their agenda. Always the promise of jam tomorrow. Now, the stadium is opened, it's other excuses why we can't compete.
It's all just a big blag to the fans, just to keep biding them time until they can finally make a big sale and cash in. Ultimate football success isn't important to them. It's a nice to have, and we are in a league where other clubs owners want to win at all costs.
