Who gets to have a legacy with a club and that clubs fanbase to the degree that he has with us? Next to no one.

Thats the thing that so many people never understood.. Be that pundits, journalists, shit talking rival fans or even occasionally our own fans.. When they were saying "this player needs to leave Spurs".... To do what? Pinch a trophy elsewhere and then not even be a footnote in their history? If you're going to leave to do something to the level of what Modric did then that's fair enough... But what Son ended up with is far beyond what nearly every player has.
 
Actually had tears in my eyes watching those videos tonight. And I never cry really. Definitely never over a player leaving or anything football related.

He really is one of a kind

The one thing about this fella is that 100% of the time hes genuine, wears his heart on his sleeve. No deception. One of the club's all time greats not just in stats but the way he carried himself.

I think I posted on this thread some time ago how we should try to keep him here for his entire career and then get him in some kind of non-football role around the club, I cant be arsed to find it now - this chance to go has clearly been something hes been thinking about for some time, and the EL win was the catalyst for it in the best possible way.

His choice to go - but with the club's best interest at heart as well. That is seriously fucking RARE in *MODERN FOOTBALL*. A legend in every possible sense, and I hope he enjoys his couple of years in the sun the other side of the pond and comes back here in some capacity as hes welcome here forever.

I'm not supporting the MLS - I have no connection to LA Galaxy except for Sonny... I've been there, and that place is a shithole - the whole of Cali, I don't like.

The same goes for Messi - I didn't watch PSG when he joined...didn't again when he joined MLS...

Didn't support Real Madrid as I'm Barça - with Bale as the same with Modric...

I do wish him the best but for me it's done - I'll keep tabs like any ex-player (even though i'm Barça I saw Madrid often) I aint buying fukkin LA GALAXY merch - grosss...
