I'm not supporting the MLS - I have no connection to LA Galaxy except for Sonny... I've been there, and that place is a shithole - the whole of Cali, I don't like.

Didn't support Real Madrid as I'm Barça - with Bale as the same with Modric...

I think you underestimate how ruthless he actually was. Don’t mistake a gent off the field for a thoroughly ruthless professional and a captain in the dressing room that deserved the spot and pushed people forward. Just not in a John Terry obvious I’m a cunt aggressive way, In Sonny’s way and I know which I’d prefer all day long. I’d buy another Sonny for the club in a heartbeat and welcome the cutesy ness if we got the rest as well. . and I will never be happy that that kind of fella has left the club. He left this wonderful club even better than it was for him being here. How many players are completely respected by every other player and fan regardless of club. That takes some doing and personally I can’t think of another. Sonny was ours and always will be. If I got the opportunity to ever meet him I would give him a full Korean style slow bow. Not many men I’d do that for. He’s in my top 3 spurs legends and I reckon that’s the same for so many fans. For me, way ahead of H. I don’t think we will quite see the like of him again, a totally unique man, the complete professional and most importantly a fucking class human.

Maybe it's because we recognise that Sonny is a genuine human being who put the Club's needs before himself and is not afraid to show his feelings.
I suppose there are some people who think it's all a bit maudlin and OTT. However, supporting a football team is not a logical exercise, it is sheer emotion and when a player shows the same love for the team we support, it creates a special bond, as it doesn't happen that often.

Son is the very epitome of a club legend. Worked hard, never complained and led his team to a major trophy. He left at the right time - when the job was done.
On the other hand, Kane who was club trained since a kid abandoned Spurs in his prime in search of individual glory and guaranteed trophies.

Well I'm not MLS fan, but Son has signed for LAFC. Their rival would be LA Galaxy.
Not going to start watching LAFC or anything, and like you I don't follow former players who move on except in passing.
I will probably drive up to St. Louis in about 6 weeks to see Son play again.
