Where will the league be in 5 years? According to Levy Chelsea, Woolrich, Man City, and Liverpool will somehow be falling into line under the financial fair play rules. That's just nonsense. The one crystal clear lesson of the Man City charges debacle (which will end with not much punishment for City) is that football is ungovernable. If anything, the rules do more to stop Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest from displacing any of the big 4 from the top of the standings for more than a season at most. Spurs are unique in that they could make the big 4 a big 5 but don't want to spend what would be required. And I get up this morning to read that Spurs are making a 35 million pound offer for a 70 million player (Nico Paz). We are where we are because we are a stadium with a team instead of a team with a stadium.
