Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Absolutely, I'm fully aware that it will never happen under ENIC. They've come full circle from saving us from problematic owners to becoming the problem.

And the worst thing about sustainability is that they will take longer to leave but, he's not immortal; Levy will go some time.

Edit: I almost missed that personal attack: fuck and your sweet shit! I'm a fucking cunt, but that's Mr Cunt to you! I'll overlook it this time. Don't let it happen again...

Fuck a CB, fuck a striker. Just get a top notch AM, get the essential done so we don’t totally fuck the season up. Everything else is noise. If it means £60-70m for Paz that could be the difference between multiple league positions and trophy attempts. You cannot go into a season with no decent AM, not if you are a serious football club.

It is though. RM are the elephant in the room

Paz still has to agree to the move, what if they get in his ear and say we’ll buy you next summer, just stay at Como?

Additionally their 50% sell-on clause means that it’s not a straightforward negotiation. If they actually want to keep Paz, they’ll figure out a way.
Do you not think we've sounded out the player before making this supposed opening offer?

What you've outlined is that it's difficult to sign a player if they don't want yo join, the contractual stuff between Como and Real has no bearing on us whatsoever and don't add any greater complexity to the deal.

It's important to understand the context with Paz.

Real Madrid have a buyback clause for 9M next summer and 10M the summer after. He is for all intents and purposes their player, even if they don't want to integrate him into their squad they are 100% certain to activate that clause and sell him themselves to book the profit.

He is essentially a Madrid player on loan at Como, except under a weird structure in which Como would also have to agree to a transfer and get paid for their interest in the player.

Even if it weren't Spurs and Levy, this is a nigh-upon-impossible deal to make.
It's perfect for a classic Daniel Levy "we tried" then

Watching the interview Levy seems to think that the regulations are going to even out the playing field for Spurs.
When the truth is, should that ever happen the big big boys would just take their ball and go and start up the super league for real.
If you want to match them for ambition you have to bend the rules and push the leverage.

This myth that the way big clubs are operating is "unsustainable" is just that a myth. The Super league WILL happen and the Americanisation will continue. There is too much money to be had.

I don't buy that Levy believes that the sustainable model will yield success, he's not interested in success despite all of his bluster. It's just the illusion of success he wants to promote.

Just enough to keep the natives from being too restless and keep bums on seats and the Spurs store full on a match day.

I've said this like a million times on here but people still don't get it.

The wee dwarf might be an excellent speaker but when it comes to Spurs and ambition in the same sentence he is totally full of shit.
In his own little bubble imo.

I've never seen this lad kick a ball. Until an hour ago I've never even heard of him. Is he any good? Would he cope with the intensity of the PL? Is there an equivalent playing today that you can compare him to? Just want to get excited before Fiorentina outbid us.

I mean what the fuck do I know? I get shit wrong about football all the time and tbh it’s just fun for me, I don’t analyze footballers for a living

But

He looks big, robust, skilled, athletic, aggressive, creative, determined… a lot of the stuff you want

I don’t trust Lange to wipe after dropping a shit in the toilet to be quite honest. I don’t believe him or Levy should be given even the slightest benefit of the doubt after the utter shambles this window has been.

This. Even before Madders got injured this was priority signing number 1. Complete joke if we don't sign anyone.

Technically a good player and I'm guessing his numbers would pop up when crunching the data. Como and Fabregas has done well to play like a top team so Como's numbers overall look good. I do find Paz a little heavy and would be concerned if he's elegant enough to succeed in England
A quick google turns up a lot of rave reviews. Even more for Ederson, who sounds like a more talented version of Palhinha.
