Jackson's PL stats are OK - 65 appearances, 24 goals, 10 assists. A goal involvement every 1.9 matches.

Richarlison's PL stats are - 243 appearances, 64 goals, 24 assists. A goal involvement every 2.7 matches.

Context when discussing these types of stats is important. The quality of his teammates makes a difference for a striker.

Mo Salah scored twice as many goals in his first season at Liverpool as he did his last season at Roma. Doubt any of you would say Serie A was too tough for him and he enjoyed easier competition in the PL.

Leaving Homer Simpson GIF
Is this Mr. Maranakis after his negotiations with Don Levy or what?

Madison could never be relied on for an entire season, so we now need two number 10 types. Kulu is not a number 10 and his form is also way too inconsistent.
Reckon it will be El Kan... From Leicester and one more for no. 10 if we are lucky, but likely only one of the two required knowing levy.

Reckon we only get a striker if we shift Richy, which should be possible with WC on the horizon, again if we were run like a proper club this would happen.

Still need Lb/Lfb , cannot rely on Davies and udogie. Personally I think Spence is better at lb and maybe a right back could be got instead but at least it gives us options. Again likely it's Davies and Spence for cover.

It's late in the window and looking like another shitshow yet again, the wheelbarrow must be due to make an appearance soon.

IIRC Richarlison scored eleven times as many goals for Spurs in his second season because in his first season he only scored one. So using that metric he's better than Salah lol.

He’s played 8 exclusively for Wham no?

He’s definitely not a lock picker is he?

He's not exceptional, but is numbers at Lyon, where he did play more advanced often, were decent. 15 and 14 G/A per season, XA90 0.20. His first season for West Ham was decent. 10 G/A 0.20 XA90. Where you get the value add is that he also grafts, gets his foot in, sees plenty of ball, and progresses the ball via passing (ie the pre-assist decent OBV)

"Obviously we are signing players here where the processes in Brentford, I'm not saying they were better, I think they're very good," said the head coach. "I think that Johan and his team is doing a top job, top, but just for them to understand what I'm looking for, so that needs to be aligned.

"At Brentford it was aligned (clicks fingers). 'I want that', 'OK, fine', we look at it, boom, and now I need to use more time with Johan and Rob and these guys and then we make presentations. 'No, no, no, I need that instead', so all that is just extra hours every day."

Jeez. That's hardly some big complaint.... All he's saying is they're acclimatizing to each other cos they're new to each other; whereas at Brentford they had 7 years worth of familiarity to lean upon.

Us,Newcastle and Villa are being utterly batterd by 5 clubs in this window. Absolutely clobbered.

We won't be within 20 points of the top 4, and United are likely to be at least 12 to 15 points ahead of us as well.

The sentiment that surrounds new signings of quality is simply not present, and without it, we could start really badly and start to struggle in my opinion.

Levy take note.
