Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As I posted in greater detail this morning in the Bayern thread people are missing Daniel’s vision . The new hotel will at long last allow us to compete with the big boys , Marriott and the Hilton Group . We need to stop melting and get behind Daniel .

Is your highest ever PL finish the only indicator of how good a manager you are?

Our best manager in a generation came with a best finish of 8th prior to us. Come on …
Hope Frank does well, but have you ever watched Brentford and thought good team, some nice football? Bit of a basic team with old fashioned type defenders who sit deep and play quite direct into a physical front three. Bournemouth and Brighton play much better football if we’re talking that area of the table.

I'm glad we have the Bournemouth game at home two days before the window closes. A chance for us all to give Daniel pelters and see if he then wakes up with 48 hours remaining.

it just occurred to me where I have been duped , the powder Daniel is keeping dry is cement not a transfer kitty

The window hasn't closed yet but I really hope he isn't one of those managers who will make do with whatever he is given.
Frank is exactly the type of manager who will make do with whatever he is given.

He is a Levy dream signing. He will sing the correct tune, not rock the boat and put on a brave face for the cameras.

He's also used to being around the 8-16th mark in the Premier League so is unlikely to have a strop if things aren't going well for the team.

If we get off to a slow start I really fear for the poor bloke - Brentford and Spurs fan base are polar opposites apart and it seems we're already a little disgruntled by this transfer window.

The absolute irony is that Frank is apparently excellent at developing youth players ......but we've loaned most of ours out.

Last night the team was beaten by a better side.
But, we simply offered no threat at all. Couldn't keep the ball moving nor hit the target it was poor.
Levy will be hoping that solanke is back soon, that will save on striker options and we muddle through with what we have.
Team is basic and average and that's what is getting served up.
Unfortunately those comments by Daniel referencing winning leagues etc, is going to weigh heavily around Frank's neck.
Nice man but he isn’t achieving much with this.

Levy hoping Frank can repeat the Pochettino job and unearth gems but honestly if this is it in the transfer window he is probably fucked. 8-16th mark with no AM is probably about right but a club our size will consider it unacceptable even if it’s not his fault and the blame will end up with Frank then we can look at the next manager.

I like Frank, I would like to see us back him instead of leaving his arse in the wind.

If we finish 8th with this current group, then Frank will have done a good job.

He’s only been here two months - doesn’t even know his players, inherited 17th place squad, schooled in weird tactics and a fat Son.

That's the thing.

Losing to better sides is fine, but you have to at least be competitive - we weren't in the game at all last night and offered zero threat going forward. That it's a preseason friendly is the only mitigating factor.

Bayern on the other hand have woken up this morning and decided they need to bolster their attacking options because despite winning 4 nil, they missed about another five or six sitters.

Anyone else thinking the wee fella knew exactly what he was doing with MGW contract situation , just like trying to buy players with very well publicly known 3rd party issues . He is a bit of a card our beloved Daniel I must say , quite the character .

Exactly, we lost 4-0 but should have been double that.
I don't know what the club are going to do if much at all, are they writing this season off as well while they rebuild.
