Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He looks okay/average, not even really standing out in this Leicester team who are having most of the ball against a struggling Wednesday side. He’s had one decent cross, one good bit of good play on the left wing a lot of rolling the top of the ball with his foot. Winks looks their best player since he’s come on.

Had a look on that other forum. They’re saying he’d be a better buy than Eze or Grealish. Jesus
FWIW, El Khannouss had 2 assists and was man of the match.

But otherwise BEL is not a terrible option. Well have a great team in 2027.

This isn’t how it works. You don’t just sign a bunch of highly rated youngsters and succeed years in the future .. it’s about balance. You will hurt their development if you rush them in and many of them will not live up to potential anyway.

He’s a really disappointing option. Has done nothing to think he could adequately cover for a Maddison.

Been in a blisteringly hot field, miserable, for "raver tots" today. No signal. Absolutely knackered...

Guessing Spurs have spent another day sitting on their fucking hands begging for the window to close?

It's genuinely starting to feel like we've gone from potentially coming into some money to getting stung, hard, by the taxman.

What have ENiC and Levy dicked up so badly behind the scenes that we're being so astonishingly negligent here?
I was thinking that myself. We've gone from dropping £60m on MGW with other potential signings, inward investment and a naming rights deal to absolutely nothing. All very strange.

Another poem.....

Levy’s tight, won’t spend a quid,
Says “big wages? Heaven forbid.”
Lange is lazy, takes his time,
Scouting’s just a pantomime.

Vinai’s smiling, Gooner deep,
Promising dreams we’ll never keep,
Telling fans to “trust the plan,”
While rivals sign the better man.

Year on year, the same old play,
Hope in August, tears in May.

El Khannouss quickly becoming the most overrated player on here. Most people probably didn't even notice him in the prem last year. Don't let a few social media highlights fool you into thinking he solves our maddison loss

Cannot believe how far we have fallen.

From the squad we had during the season we should have won the league to now.

Absolutely disgusting what Levy has done to this club.

My point is only 6 teams pay higher wages and Villa not by much. However some suggest we are the worst but that is not the case. 5 of them have a higher income than us. Whilst we are the 9th richest club, 5 of those richer are in the PL.
It's the proportion of revenue that's invested in player salaries though.
We're 20th out of 20.

The obvious conclusion is that we could pay more, much more, to attract better players... but the club chooses not to.

So the obvious question is...where is all that extra revenue going.

We are a football club that doesn't prioritise the football team. Whichever way you look at it or try and dress it up, it's a scam.

Started every game in a free creative role during a stretch of a Premier League team going W1 D0 L15 and scoring four, count em, FOUR total goals.

I'm as forgiving as they come about being intrigued by players but this is just a no from me.
