Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The interesting take away is that Eze seems open to coming to Spurs. I wasn't sure that he would be the case after being so heavily linked to Woolwich all summer. Nice to see we still have some sort of pull and are clearly still well ahead of Palace in the food chain despite their recent success.

I've no doubt that his first preference is Woolwich but his release clause expires on Friday so I feel like its now or never for him. Woolwich clearly want to sell Trossard first before making their move. This could open the door for a hijack as Eze knows that once Friday's deadline passes then its out of his control. Eze likes Palace too so he's not going to do an Isak on it to try and force the move. I think Eze will respect the Friday deadline and just commit to Palace next season if nobody triggers his RC.

So its Tuesday now. 3 days for us to bid the release clause and convince Eze to come. I do wonder if this will just kick Woolwich into gear and they'll just go and pay the release clause now and accept losing Trossard for nearly nothing . Guess we are about to find out just how badly Woolwich want Eze. Classic Levy anyway. Saving all this effort for the final few weeks so it'll look like we really tried.

So the great Romano is on the Eze bandwagon too.

Why everyone expected anything different is quite beyond me. I find it shocking that our fanbase just openly believe any bullshit when they have actively seen with their own eyes what a bunch of con artists our board are.
Fucks sake… you’ve just jumped on it without actually reading the article.

These aggregators will sell you anything. If you actually read the article it says the talks are ongoing and Pep won’t stand in his way if he wants to go.

Trossard seems like a player Glasner would like, maybe Arse will offer him as part of the deal

I'm thinking that as Savinho goes by Savio, he needs a song to the tune of "Start me up" by the Stones

[Intro]
If you start me up
If you start me up, I'll never stop
If you start me up
If you start me up, I'll never stop

[Verse 1]
I've been running hot
You got me ticking, now don't blow my top
If you start me up
If you start me up, I'll never stop
Never stop, never stop, never stop

[Chorus]
You make a grown man cry
You make a grown man cry
You make a grown man cry

Spread out the oil, the gasoline
I walk smooth, ride in a mean, mean machine
Start it up

[Verse 2]
If you start it up
Kick on the starter, give it all you got
You got to, you got to
I can't compete with the riders in the other heats
If you rough it up
If you like it, I can slide it up
Slide it up, slide it up, slide it up

But I can't be arsed to do it.

It does seem suspicious that all this Eze and Savinho talk has intensified in the week before we play Burnley at home where fans were planning to boo and protest against Levy and the board for this poor transfer window so far
