I'm flying out tomorrow.

Not looking forward to 35 degrees though.
Tempo and intensity is going to be right down. Fitness will be a key factor more than anything, even more important to still be in the game until 60 minutes.

Frank's use of substitutions will be important.

I still have the buzz of being Bilbao with me. It's nice to be able to go on a European trip so soon. I won't be letting the doom and gloom of the transfer window spoil it.

Probably the last time we'll compete in a Super Cup in my lifetime I reckon.
Enjoy yourself mate! Safe travels

I very much hope there is something to the fact that PSG have been on the beach for the last 3 weeks. According to some news, they have been back on the turf since 6th August, though I don't know if that's entirely the full squad.

If we can catch them cold then we could do it, but they don't forget how to play their football within a matter of weeks and they won't have left their boots in the Seychelles.

COYS, but I think we will get schooled, along with some very nearly moments for us.

Unusually, no videos of the team flying out or arriving?

Which kit colours will the teams be wearing?

Paris Saint-Germain will be in their all-dark blue strip, featuring a red stripe down the front of the shirts.

Their goalkeeper will wear green.

We’ll be wearing our new 2025/26 home kit, although we’ll change from navy blue to white shorts – as is traditional in Europe – to make it an all-Lilywhite strip.

Our keeper will be in orange.

What will the weather be like?

It’s set to be a bright, sunny day in Udine on Wednesday. The skies will remain clear as we head into the evening, with temperatures at around 28 degrees when the game kicks off.

Who is the referee?

Portuguese referee João Pinheiro will take charge of this year’s UEFA Super Cup.

His assistants will be Bruno Jesus and Luciano Maia, with Elchin Masiyev as the fourth official.

Tiago Martins will be on VAR duties.

They're using officials and VAR? That's it then - we're fucked.

Considering the players we have for it, I would assume it will go like this -

------------Vicario-----------
Porro-Romero-VDV-Spence
-----Palhinha--Benta-------
Odobert-Bergvall--Kudus
-----------Solanke----------

Or should it be Sarr in place of Bentancur?
Or Tel/Richie instead of Solanke if he is not fully fit?

Mixed feelings all around I'd have to say. Pretty sure Palhinha and Kudus as new recruits starting. Three players in defense should be quite clear too. But different options in midfield and AM department.

Exactly.

Some kneejerk in transfer thread said how "whole world is watching it" when in reality it is a game no one truly cares about. Apart from the fans of teams that participate.

But if we win, it will be bigger achievement than CL win obviously, right :D :D !!
Mate if we win this, I'm camping outside the gooners front door. I'll be singing running round Woolwich with our European cups.

Ok, I'm back from the lunch and I reconsidered my selection. Given that Frank is supposed to be flexible in system + we have number of CM options, I think best option would be to go with -

Porro-Romero-VDV-Spence
-Bentancur-Palhinha-Sarr
-Odobert-Solanke-Kudus-

If all of them are fully fit ofc.
