Exactly this. We could clearly do so well if we had those extra players to push us on. I think any chairman with half a footballing brain cell would be moving heaven and earth to achieve this. So bloody close to being able to compete for real again.

Great effort by many players today and big up to Frank for setting us up to bully them and expose their fitness frailties.

Tbh, I felt a bit a knot in my stomach the moment I saw the subs coming on and am not too surprised at how we fell flat at the end. But I'll take the many positives over the end result. We won't be finishing 17th under TF, that's for sure.
 
Thought we were going to get tonked, proud of them that we got to penalty’s.
Yes Solanke and Tel were fucking awful but Richie and Kudos were fucked, Frank couldn’t do a lot else. We were playing the European Champions ffs
 
Was fully relaxed about this game thinking we’d get battered 6-0

Im now fucking pissed off that we didn’t beat the best team in the world

Disappointing to lose being 2 up against a completely cooked PSG 1st 11 but their subs were fresh and turned the game.

Not sure what we learned from that game that we didn't already know from the Ange era: we are hard to beat when our back 5 play (Spence stood in for Udogie and did very well albeit we lost) ; Richy can add value when he's fit (he never is)

Palinha and Kudus* offered more than we had last season in their positions (*except goals/assists)

Nice to score from set pieces. Not great that we didn't look like scoring from general play.

Sarr looks set for a big year.

In the end all we are left with is bitter ashes. Hope that spurs the team on (pun intended), rather than setting them (and the curse) back.

There is a lot of praise coming for our performance but let’s hold the horses just a small bit. We were solid and we were game, but PSG had their slippers on the first half. As soon as they upped it slightly in the second half and started to click into gear they completely took over the game and our lack of real quality was badly exposed.

Difference in squad quality is miles & miles apart. It was always going to catch up

I dont think this defeat will be felt that bad. Had we got humiliated say 4-0 again, that would be bad. Not this.

Huge number of positives to be taken from this.

This gives a perfect pattern for how to approach CL games. Frank just needs help in squad quality
 
Gutted , sickening way to lose it but thought we deserved better .

If and its a big if , Levy backs this guy , I'm sure we will be OK

Lots of positives to take but that felt like a kick in the bollocks
