Match Super Cup Final - Spurs vs PSG, Weds 13th Aug, 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Think the game was heading that way before the subs. Not blaming that. We were rushing clearances and were struggling to hold the ball and have any decent passages of play for the last 30 minutes at least

Probably sulking because he realises he’s no longer a guaranteed heir to the Son space? If a meta-broken Richy is preferred, that’s what he needs to realise: a club signing, I’d say.
I don't believe he was sulking as when he came on, he certainly didn't look like a player with swagger and a point to prove.

He just looked very poor.

And Solanke just didn't have the legs in him to do what Kudus and Richarlison had done for the preceding 70 minutes. He looked slow and lethargic as you expect from someone who's been out injured.

2-0 up after 80_minutes against the team who cruised through CL final 5-0

That's really positive.

Solanke needs minutes after injury - he only played 45 mins in preseason was the only striking option to sub Richarlison who was on his knees. Solanke will be better placed to be in squad v Burnley

Gray was ok as a sub assuming Palhinha needed to come off.

Tel was a disaster of a sub for Kudus - I'd have gone for Odobert every time based upon preseason. I'd guess Frank needs to evaluate whether Tel can be trusted,

Far more positives than negatives tonight.

I don't recall ANYONE before the match expecting anything other than a loss.

So losing by one penalty kick is HUGELY better than anyone expected. A big positive to take from tonight.

We know how to play, how to use set pieces and how to do long throws and adapt tactics. All positive developments not seen in preseason

Sure we need a couple of first team players in - no surprise given we have lost Kulusevski and Maddison for much of season coming

Tel was a disaster.. 2-0 up and cruising before he came on for Kudus. Couldn't hold the ball up and gave away daft fouls. Then put his penalty wide.

He's cost us a trophy.
He gave the ball away a couple times whilst under pressure. Tried to help defensively, but did more harm than good. Yes his penalty was fucking terrible. Bergval put in exactly the same performance, chasing shadows. If he misses a pen not a word would be said 🧐

All went wrong when Richie and Kudus went off.
Tel and Solanke were woeful
Once again as often happened last season it was players other than our attackers who produced the goals. However the substitutions cost us big time. Why oh why did we sign Tel. He was very poor tonight. We had enough time with him last season to see that he wasn’t worth buying. Solanke showed his limitations and I know he is young but I don’t understand why the club think Gray can go to the very top. Bergvall should have come on before him.
Levy you dick sign some decent players

Thought vdv was our best player along with porro and romero. Needs to find balance in tactics. I like good defending as theres a saying defence wins championships. But defending for your lives is too extreme imo.

We'll beat burnley. City away after that is an early test of credentials for us imo. Im pissed off we lost that tonight.
I assume we'll setup like we did tonight against City and will be fine. We'll be hard to beat.

I'm actually more concerned for this weekend. I want to see how Frank approaches the game and if we can create loads of chances at home to Burnley. Tactically, this weekend is the big test for Frank. I'm not worried about him in the hard fixtures at all.
