Match Super Cup Final - Spurs vs PSG, Weds 13th Aug, 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I've seen enough of the young lad Tel to know that there's a lot of potential, and we have a manager and coaching team who can work on that.

I don't think his errors in a short sub appearance are of any material relevance. He's only young, and it's quite possible that the occasion got to him. It can happen.

It's not only about coaching the technical side but also the psychology. And it's also about a process of supporting his development, physically and mentally. Give him time under our excellent coaching team.
What have you seen? His played enough games now and not seen shit. Seen more from Moore. He’ll even Solomon might be better. It’s deluded you say there is potential. So easy to say stuff like that. You can say that about any player. Plus at £40 we need more than what his shown so far.

Gutted last night but I’ve woken up excited for the new season. Finally.

I thought we were superb. I actually can’t remember being as proud of the team as much as I was last night even just once all last season.

It’s been said, but so refreshing to have a manager that can set a team up for a specific opponent and occasion. That’s not Ange slander. Conte and Jose were the same. ‘This is my style, and that’s that’ - Frank will switch it up on a weekly basis.

Also impressed that Frank has got these lads onboard so quickly. After Ange left and their outpouring of emotion towards him, I was worried he’d have a task getting them to buy in to him - but they ran through walls and did everything they could to execute his plan.

Some superb individual performances too. But Sarr is the one I want to highlight. Could this be his breakout season? At 22 - would be about the right time for a central midfielder to come good.

Bring on Saturday. Can’t wait to see what Frank has up his sleeve for that one.

Agree with absolutely everything you've said. Despite the result, so sooo proud of the boys.

I was shocked when I heard he's only 22, I thought he was at least two years older!

We’ve beaten Woolwich and should have beaten PSG. Frank has shown he has tactical nous and can change the system/tactics for different opponents. Organisation, defending and set pieces all massively improved. Just light on creativity (missing Maddison and Kulu). Get Eze and Savio done and we’re set for a really good season!

Exactly this.

People love to bash Spurs, but they would have been surprised at how well we actually did against PSG last night.

It's a pre-season friendly. And we lost, narrowly. But, the positives far outweigh the negatives here. I was fully expecting a humiliation and a 3 or 4 goal defeat. I'm now encouraged by watching a team that had a plan, a shape and discipline. We actually defended. With structure.

The squad is too thin and everything changed with the subs. We knew that already.

I'm actually now looking forward to the season. Imagine what Frank could do with more time and a bit more depth.

Levy, over to you.

You’re either a troll or a clown. Not Spurs. Richy was immense tonight. Didn’t deserve to be let down by the subs. GTF.
OK anyone who doesn't agree is a troll ..grow up.
I've been a spurs supporter for longer than you've probably been alive..
He is crap, and one so so performance does not change that, our transfer history is frankly shocking....nobody thinks richy is good enough, it's an opinion, stop acting like it's a personal attack on your family....this is what a forum is for, why do we as spurs fans...get so personal with each other over an opinion, this is all part of the levy and co plan..divide and conquer, so he never gets fully held accountable....

Obviously Frank knows it but when the pressure comes on you can't just circle the wagons around your goal. You have to have some way of getting the ball up the pitch. Tough to blame Solanke too much in his first minutes after a long lay off though, that's just bad luck.

This still hurts his morning, but it hurts in a progressive way. Sarr for example didn't deserve to be on a losing side but my god, not only did he "show up and show out" when it mattered, he proved to himself that he can do it.

Yeah, we still lost.
But here is the the thing.
We also lost 20 plus games last season.
But watching my team yesterday, I felt pride, footballing pride. Even when PSG scored one, then a second and you knew just knew it would end in tears when it went to penalties. ... that sense of pride did not dissipate.

Because play like we did those first 75 minutes, we are winning more games than we are losing. If anything, Frank can keep the 3-5-2 as his baseline formation but tweak the personal according to the opposition.

It should be noted, I don't mind this new young PSG team (especially after what they did to Liverpool and Woolwich last year. Plus their CL final was one for the ages. All that without the dispacable pussyholes Neymar and Mbappe).

See you at the game on Saturday to those who are attending.

Was so gutted last night but fuck me was that a performance and a half. 2 mins away from holding on for the win against the best team in Europe.

We need reinforcements and whilst I’m gutted for Tel - especially in light of the racist abuse he received - he showed nothing when he came on. We all knew he’d miss. He’s really got to knuckle down or he won’t get many chances because the manager is clearly ruthless - Johnson didn’t even get a look in.

Tentatively excited but come on Levy/Lange fucking give him what he needs. Good to to see Paratici at the game too.
