Lots of imponderables to consider regarding the acquisition of Eze the most difficult to predict being his actual value/price.

We are led to believe there was a release clause of circa £68m which expired on Friday and this does nothing other than confirm there was no club out there prepared to pay it.

I'm inclined to accept this had more to do with his age rather than ability and on the face of recent reports the crux of any agreement will depend how far away from the £68m Palace will be prepared to move.

It sounds like things were progressing nicely with personal term agreed along with an initial figure until it stalled over the matter of 'add ons' and their likelihood of being achieved?

Baldy might be using (his) winning the CL + Pl as conditions and Parrish is not going to fall for it I'm afraid. ☹️

Much less likely in a friendly where players are NOT fully committed to anything other than gaining fitness as opposed to an actual ELP game with points at stake. Its apples and oranges.

We still see stupid tackles and if it's out of malice as an attempt to sabotage (Chavs deliberately injuring him being the full context of the convo*) then no... It makes no diff whether it's a friendly or not.

Turns out you're the one not knowing what the point was, champ.

They’re both probably Willy wangling over this deal.

Good summary of where things are imo. Not sure what the add ons where conditioned too but palace want to be much more assured that they will ultimately recieve the 55m +5m rather than the 5m being a long shot of recieving.
It will get worked out. We have tracked eze's career for years wanting to sign him and i don't think it falls through based on this.

They had to play him after all the transfer talk, just to make a point.
Mate the point is...'He is and remains a CP player" one who is a decent man ( see Isak). Lots of folk sucked in by click farmers and grifters, Parish is Levy with hair. The two of them negotiating must look like porcupines having sex. I doubt it's got past the staring contest stage. I could see Eze and Guehi having a chat and deciding to go as pair on a free to a Milan or Napoli.
