Savinho or bust for me. Eze is decent and all but all the top clubs have a player as good and there’s no chance of breaking into the top 3 without players at a higher level than Eze. Savinho can get there.

Ok with Eze but it’s same old spurs doing the bare minimum to me. Savinho or bust.

You have absolutely no idea if this one is on Levy.
They may have explored options if they were to sell, didn't like them, so (currently) saying no.
I'd bet my arse though that this isn't dead if he says he wants to leave.

Real Madrid have been making noises that Rodrygo is not leaving ........ so if ManCity can't get the upgrade they'd like they won't want to sell Savinho.

A lot of the angst about this one probably because not a lot of people have bought a flat or house and seen the chain fall apart when the buyer at top cannot get the property they want.

I actually couldn’t give a flying fuck about the money but saying that I would rather we spend what we have on something that’s more needed or proven isn’t exactly ‘club accountant’ talk.

To think that’s what I’ve said you’d have to be a little silly.
I'm VERY silly!

Not sure that makes sense at all.

We shouldn't be paying excessive money for any player, with excessive being a higher comparable price to other players in similar positions.

If City want to keep a player who wants to leave, by effectively pricing them out of a move, and then leave the player sat mostly on the bench, that's their prerogative. Can't be blackmailed into paying exorbitant amounts.

As for Eze, he is better right now than Savinho. One is a reality. The other a supposition.

I think Eze happens after that nothing more.
All depends on levy paying what they want, after all, he could somehow fuck up a deal selling coffee beans to Nescafe.
Its probably alot easier to meet their payment terms now if we aren't holding money back for Savinho.

Wouldn't be surprised if Levy comes at it now from the other angle now and tries to get a cheaper fee with more paid upfront lol

So...Rodrygo not leaving Guler not leaving. Time to send Paratici on a death or glory mision to get Niccola Paz . He is left footed. Paz left Kudus right Eze ten is a very good look indeed .

not really, he's no adama traore but he's physically fine, good low centre of gravity and decent upper body strength. But like Akilouche , he doesnt play on the left. so to go for either of them would be confusing

Not confusing, actually ends a confusion for me.

Confirms they want a left footed player for the RW to rotate with Kudus and Kulusevski will play in the middle when he’s back.

Means the LW rotation was always going to be Johnson/Odobert/Tel, with Tel also getting CF minutes and Odobert getting some RW minutes

Frank wanted Romero future guarantee before taking job

Latest from Sky Sports News' Michael Bridge:

Sky Sports News
understands the future of Cristian Romero was key to discussions with Thomas Frank when he was appointed as Ange Postecoglou's successor at the club.

Tottenham did not consider Atletico Madrid's interest in Cristian Romero and keeping the defender was a priority this summer.

Frank chose to make Romero captain when it was decided that Heung-Min Son was leaving.

Romero is believed to be extremely happy with the way things have gone in the first few months under Frank.

The fact that we wanted Savinho means the club know a LW is required.

Time to move onto option #2 or #3 on the list.

If there was another 60m earmarked for him then that's plenty to find another upgrade there.

We cannot make do with BJ/Tel/Odobert. Eze would have been okay to rotate out there if we still had Maddison. If he joins, Eze will be our only 10 and that's where he needs to play.
