It's now been made clear City would take 60m.

So, it's not a stretch to extrapolate:

Baldcunt hasn't wanted to pay that.

50m would be too much of a piss take for that player, even for Baldcunt.

So chances are he's looking at 50 +add-ons to take it to 55m.

That's a reasonable projection around an anchoring heuristic, knowing everything we know about how Baldcunt operates.

Not such a dive in the dark if you think about it.

Suggest you red this. Madrid do not want to sell Rodrygo

No need to dream up your own explanations

He's not going to say he wants him out ffs. Clearly doesn't fancy him. I'm sure he wants a big squad, but there's no way he wouldn't ask the board not accept a large offer of it came in.

There's a vast middle ground between "I don't want to sell him" and he's not for sale. Real coming out and saying he's for sale weakens their position.

Get your head out of your behind. You're acting like you know everything and you don't even come close to spelling one of the players names.

Both players are very much up for grabs, this is posturing. I remember Spurs telling everyone Harry wasn't for sale. Can you remind me what happened next?

Not sure how anyone can follow football and not know what's happening here.

Very strange.

It's complete nonsense and Baldcunt can sniff it out with his penny-pinching beak, I'm sure.

He ain't budging on the price and thinks they'll give up on the extra 5m he doesn't want to give them.

In his mind it's worth stubbornly dragging it out, jeopardising the deal and losing this player over.

Just think about that.
Have you ever considered a psychological assessment for anger issues against diminutive powerful men. I’d hate to think what your views on Putin are.

I’m sorry but all this ‘Palace are waiting until they’ve bought a replacement’, ‘Palace are waiting until after their Europa Conference match’, ‘Man City are waiting until after we play them’ and ‘Man City are waiting on a decision from Madrid ‘ seems all a little bit … ‘copey’?

We’ve all been to this rodeo before: these deals will fizzle out and we’ll sign a promising (“affordable”) prospect on deadline day who will kick around in the Caribao Cup. What, in all the years of ENIC, would make anyone think otherwise, other than blind optimism?…

We've had all summer to wrap up these deals, and in classic Levy fashion, leave it all til the last minute, increasing the chances he might save a couple of mil, but also hugely increasing the chances they fall through. They're both important players, they need replaced. Leaving it late like this so that they can't get replacements is so ridiculous. Every feckin year.
