Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Madrid will defo accept a bid in the region of £80m for Rodrygo, the real question is if anyone is a) big enough to lure Rodrygo and pay his mammoth wages and b) desperate enough to pay probably a £20-30m premium to sign him without serious competition this summer rather than wait til next summer when he will have had a year largely being a bit-part player under Alonso so much keener to move on a personal level and also only 2 years remaining on his deal, likely you can get him at a snip for £50-60m next summer.
Erm...yeah, City.

Getting both Eze and Savinho would be amazing business. Getting a LCB like Hincape would be the absolute cherry on top.

One can dream...
This is what's required for people to take Baldcunt's declaration of wanting to win PL/CL seriously.

THEN he'd begin to gain fans' respect and be taken seriously.

Praise, even.

And it would have been well earned.

It would be us acting like a big club that we deserve as fans. Us acting like a big club would start attracting big name players.

I truly believe this transfer window is massive for us as a club.

Imagine something like that getting sorted, then you can -- unless some sort of injury crises etc -- just try and shift expendable players in jan and buy 3 quality players in summer windows to keep topping up the squad and increasing, improving quality depth.

Once you've built a proper squad, you can then take risks on younger players to develop and increase in value (his fetish), but still make sure they are proper solid quality to begin with.

Not from the the bargain bucket.

He wants to keep the wages down, but if you do all this it's honestly reflected in your prices across the board, the fans respect it, buy into the club more and spend more; the players merch will doubly fly off the shelves and the whole club becomes more attractive, more successful and even more globally appealing.

Like I said earlier, it's all mental with Bladcunt.

Talks a big game but is actually scared of daring to do.

Sounds like a big game of chicken right about now- who will blink first and drop their price? Or will Rodrygo stay at RM?

I wonder what the odds are that neither of Savinho or Rodrygo will move this window?

I couldn't agree with you more one this. Spending big in this transfer window and improve our starting 11 would solidify our top 4/5 finish and push us through the CL qualification rounds. This would solidify our income as well as well as solidifying the fan base which we haven't had since Pochettino. Next summer we could concentrated on upgrading our ST and GK positions.

I really believe that with 3 more good signings, we would close in gab between us and Chelsea.

Levy needs to spend this window.

Can't see either club wanting unhappy players on the bench in a WC year.

With Bobb back and picking up where he left off last pre-season, when he was having a stormer before breaking his leg. Sav would be getting less playing time and he knows it.

And for some reason pep really likes Doku, so any time on the left would be limited as well.

And if Foden finds form again he'll be used flexibly across the front.

Definitely a who blinks first game going on between clubs, for sure.

One actually gets the sense it's the two managers trying to push these moves on their clubs, who are skeptical.

But the whole thing is dead if Rodrygo absolutely refuses to leave, and that seems to be the state of things as it stands.
I can't see why Roddy would refuse to leave.

He's being treated like shite.

Left on the bench to Osassuna when RM couldn't score from open play.

That's nasty work from Alonso.

City come calling, he'd be off.

Awful situation for him.

WC year as well.

You don’t like Levy ok we all get it but calling him that in every bloody post is pathetic.Give it a bloody rest for God’s sake and post something relevant.

Eze and another quality attacker and we're definitely in the mix for top 4. Eze and Akliouche or Savinho and I think we might even be able to compete for more than that. Frank is going to make us extremely difficult to beat at the back, and we've always had excellent talent to mold a stubborn defense with- just no capable leader to drill our players in it and make use of it.
