💯 Mate but levy is now getting a dose of what it's like when someone changes things that have already been agreed etc. He is renowned for it. Now he sees how frustrating this from the buyers side.
Now imagine a scenario where you need a CM and you have Bissouma and another name as the two options and both roughly the same quality. For Biss you have to deal with Levy and for the other one you don't. Now which one would most people pick?!
yeah fair, could be right. I'm obv not an ENIC outer but I do lament how much we've wasted on quantity of average players (punts) like Njie, Nkoudou, Rodon, Nelson, Bergwijn, Stambouli, Fazio etc there's so many over the years. instead of just buying 1/2 top quality players where you'll spend the same amount but you know you're bringing in quality.

I suppose the problem is our best players over the las 15 years haven't been the 30M +players, like Ndombele,, Johnson, Lo Celso, Soldado etc, it's been Eriksen/Son/Alderwiereld/Vertonghen/Dele etc etc

New contract for rico lewis at city.

He was one of the players supposedly leaving city to trim the squad. Thats not going to happen now.

Along with rodrygo not playing last nite, these things may matter and help.

How do you know this is the case?

I could get more but to be honest I couldn't be arsed.
Multiple pods including VFTL, guardian and Tottenham way have all told anecdotes about dealings clubs have had with him

No - how do you know that it's now being done to Levy?

Listen to, watch or read any interview involving any agent, journalist, director of football, manager, etc and they’ll tell you that the intricacy of deals is so heavy, that they often take months to conclude. The number of moving parts involving both clubs, the player, agents, player’s family, etc means every single transfer deal takes time. I believe them.

Complete fucking no-marks on here demanding shit happens to their timetable because our Chairman is bald? Throwing their toys out of the pram because their new shiny player hasn’t arrived quick enough for them? Aye, I’m not giving that any credence at all. Man children that need to grow the fuck up.

Surely if some club comes in for one of your best players no owner is going to be "easy" to deal with, you're not going to just roll over are you? you'll make it as hard as you can for the buyer, especially if they player is really keen on the move. you'll want your money's worth at the very least
Depends whether you can actually afford to keep him.

If you don't want or need to sell you don't have to - so do they or don't they?

If they're happy to keep him then just say he's not for sale.

We're a club that can and should be challenging at the top. Instead, we act like a small club, always playing or safe.

We've been promised XY & Z from this ownership who overpromise and under deliver.

We want the team to be ambitious and to make good on all of the promises we've been told.

Honestly, of you're happy to drink the Kool Aid and make out that everything is fine and dandy, you're the problem, and supporting an investment firm over the club.

I wonder what it feels like having the sort of window Chelsea, Liverpool and City are having,

Just like...buying the players you need.

Must feel great.
Chelsea are stuck with both Simons and Garnacho, seemingly because of Nkunku. City are up in the air on Rodrygo. Don’t even need to talk about Liverpool and Isak. Have they done more, of course, but let’s not act like problems/holdups are exclusive to us.

call me a usual defender..... but do you think Parish might be dragging things out? Mbuemo to United took about 8 weeks, what about Gyokeres to Arse? Xavi Simmons and Garnacho to Chelsea has been quick hasn't it? Isak to Liverpool of course, Newcastle trying to get a striker in etc

there's a lot of detail and conditioning in all these deals, we've seen how long they take, not just for us but for everyone. Maybe if both parties are willing some deals can be done more quickly but surely people can look across the league and see actually it's not just us than can take time to get deals over the line.

Yeah but people were saying last week a deal has been agreed in principle, but here we are almost a week later and Eze is about to play for Palace again putting things off for another week at best.

Newcastle have never agreed anything with Liverpool over Isak, it's not the same at all.

They get the rump of their business done.

That's the point.

They can lose out on what they're now still after -- with 2 weeks left to go -- and they're still set.

If we don't, we're not... at all.

A couple key injuies and we're fucked, in a CL season.

Big difference.

Imagine if kudus gets injured....

I’m not happy. Certainly not with the present squad. An absolute shower last season and very very few of them deserved the good old clean slate most seem to want to offer.

And we should have acted faster in the market and already have signed who we needed.

But I don’t waken every day and decide to post bitchy moans about it. I’d rather post bitchy moans about the bitchy moaners.

What will be will be. Folk just need to calm the fuck down and sniff real life for a bit. So many on here just not built for the window.
