Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't think Rogers is realistic though it would be an incredible signing and I would genuinely be more excited than with Eze. Would like them to go get Damsgaard instead as he is underrated and it can actually happen. He should fill in nicely until Madderz is back and can also play on the left when needed.

They did, but it expired earlier in the window. They've got a £9m buy back next summer. They also get 50 percent of any transfer fee.

For Como this might be their best chance to get serious money for Paz. Risk is Real calling Paz and saying stay put till next summer, we'll buy you back, and intergrate you into the team, which is the boys dream
50% sell on plus a right of first refusal on any deal, which essentially means they get the opportunity to buy Paz for half of what we bid.

Weird situation, and I think any flavor of it is going to have to have all three clubs at the table, which will make it extremely difficult, not least of which the fact that Nico Paz still dreams of playing for Madrid, his boyhood club.

Whereas Maghnes Akliouche is just open for sale to the highest bidder. That seems the much more promising avenue to me.

It's well reported that woolwich had the deal agreed 10 days ago, and Palace continued to raise new issues during negotiations. There's also the gooner who had the live event where a text reportedly from Eze stating he was set on a woolwich move over a week before.

On top of that, the MGW saga where everyone clearly negotiated in bad faith only for their owner to swoop in and top up his wages to stay.

Neither collapsed because we wouldn't pay the price. Both collapsed because the other parties had no interest in dealing with us - they were simply using us.

Not really sure how you see that as a Levy defence - being stupid is worse than being cheap. Money can fix being cheap, stupid remains.
I thought that was a strange response to your comment. It isn't really a "take". Not sure why it would be the "worst take" either. It was reported as happening. One can disagree with the reporting. It was also clear the ITKs had no real clue what was going on.

But an incredible ball carrier .. like one of the best in the world at the moment and that isn't really an exaggeration, he's awesome at it.

Might not be what we need though with Kudus already in the team, probably do need that intricate little passer who finds spaces.
And someone who can thump a 25 yarder top bins to get 3 points against some low block relegation fodder who has kept us out for 92 minutes...

Weird how them things seem to only happen to us, at least where big clubs are concerned...provided we still deserve that tag.

Big anti-Spurs conspiracy literally exists in its own sphere and has eff all reality to it.

Whereas Levy being a tight cunt and fucking useless at transfers is an age-old fact.

Simon Jordon on talksport kinda said the same thing the goons were lurking. Palace knew this as did Eze and his agent …………people jumping on the “it’s Levy’s fault” bandwagon perhaps no that straightforward they were all in it to turn Levy & us over
I think there is a section of the "levy out" contingent who view this as a defence of Levy. It is far from it. It is much worse. He allowed himself to be used (if what is reported is true).

We never had a bid accepted for Eze or were close to having one imo. All this bollocks about Palace saying they will accept the bid after the Thursday palace game is just that..bollocks.

We bid, they rejected and that's that. Glasner said "don't believe everything you read in the media" because they were talking absolute nonsense about an agreement.

Us conducting a hundred "round of talks" shows you all you need to know about our circus football club. They can fucking tell you the price and way it should be paid in a fucking 5 minute convo..but we conduct these round of talks to try and get the price down. Gooner Scum slapped 67m down and told us to shut the fuck up.

The player must want to go also. And he wouldn't get minutes at Real. He'd play every minute he wants for us. Premier League, Champions League, World cup next summer. Even I would choose Tottenham over Real Madrid this time. And I'm a daft knob

Maybe that's why you would choose Tottenham over Real Madrid

Yeah he’s meant to be a sharp businessman he should have been more on the ball Palace & goons have gone together and done him

It remains very difficult to parse what actually happened in the MGW scenario, other than to say that Forest valued him at a price very far above our bid.

But I take from the reporting that we've seen on Eze that sufficient aggression from our side very well might have gotten it done.

2 up with 5 to go is capitulation. What was unlucky about it. We made crap subs, sat back and allowed PSG to get up a head of steam. Nothing unlucky at all.

Over the 90 we were the better side and deserved to win so it’s not a capitulation!

They got lucky and any penalty shootout is a farce imv
