Not wanting to “that guy”, but who are we dropping for a new signing?

Midfield three were superb. Front three create or score.

Defence picks itself.

Long season ahead and we have little depth, but none of today’s eleven deserves to sit out the next match.

And no, I’m not Daniel Levy. Just asking a question, that I probably know the answer to anyway. It’ll be Johnson. As long as his goals are replaced, I’m on board.

We need that good problem.

We will still def. struggle against a well parked bus...

Need at least one CAM.
Need another FB

Minimum.

It’s the depth we need to create, we will get injuries, players who are playing well now will drop out of form (appreciate you know this of course), but our problem for a long time has been not buying players capable of pushing the first eleven, so we end up with punts and long term signings who might come good at some point, then when we get players injured the back up isn’t good enough to maintain our objectives.

We need players who, for instance, displace someone like Bentancur (and I’m a Bentancur fan) so that if that player drops off, Bentancur comes in and we’re as good as we are now.

As a club we’ve always been too afraid to go and buy top level players as we seem to be all “oh but that’s Maddison’s place” …well, let him compete for it then.

So are we looking g now at one or two £60m players, or raid lower or less known leagues for half a dozen at £20m each?

Most of our success over the years has been with the second option.

Frank is doing a great job , we can’t think like that . Think what he might do with 3 or 4 much better players . He should not have to settle for what we have

Spend big money only on the proven talent IMHO.

Any potentials need to be less costly as could very well be money wasted which we seem to have a talent for!

Two high level proven players and we’re cooking under Frank!
