The way I see it.
The more you pay the less the gamble, as you are in general, buying a better a quality of player.
But, if people are happy taking the cheap option, not competing or winning things, then yeah, that is perfect attitude (not you, just in general) to have.
I would like us get Savinho and Paz, that would show some good intention, and show the rest of the footballing world we mean business, and not a club squabbling over the cost of a packet of crisps.
If that happens, it really is underwhelming in my opinion.
We haven't got a clue what we are doing, which is the worst of it.

It used to be that if one manager criticised their club in a press conference, it'd be the story of the day. Now every time you check the news, a premier league manager is complaining about a lack of signing. Silva today. Nuno a couple days ago.. Unai Emery earlier in the week. Eddie Howe a few weeks ago. And there's a few more. I don't necessarily know if it's a good or bad thing. But it's definitely noticeable.
I dont have that available but overall he was ranked the 7th best player in the whole of seria a last season. Not sure if any no10's finished higher than him on that list.

Yeah, but the other argument is, the rest of the money they spent, has given them a team that can challenging for titles. As most of the money isn't being spent on rebuilding the team every/other season. Unlike us.
You can't just look at how much money teams have spent. There is more to it than that, a bit of nuance is always needed. The gooners seem to have a measured approach to what they do, a strategy.
Far too often over recent years, it's been Levy's best buys, or paying way over the top for mediocrity, and last season nearly got us relegated and our bloated oversized squad because of it.
Wages are about 5-8m a year cheaper than a more senior winger you might spend 70m on.
