Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What u talking about? They want 70m euros which is 60m pounds right?

Im talking about transfer fee, idgaf about wages!

All I was saying is that for a 60m transfer fee people are EXPECTING a bonifide top quality player from day 1, Paz is not that player YET.

But the transfer fee is only part of the cost to buy the player. You understand that, right?

Don’t evaluate a player based only on the fee.

Well if we sign him I’m more than happy to admit I was wrong, but as it stands I don’t see us signing either Paz or Savinho for the reasons I’ve already stated in this thread.

I’ll be ecstatic to be proven wrong.

That’s why I think we should be targeting realistic transfers without all the associated tripwires.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think we sign either myself

But because we don’t want to pay the required sums, not because the deals couldn’t be done.

Would be fascinating to be privy to the conversations behind the scenes.

I find it impossible to believe that we'd still be trying to do a deal for him with a week left in the transfer window in a key position if we didn't have some kind of encouragement from his entourage (and Como). Surely we can't be that incompetent as to go on a wild goose chase after MGW and Eze.

But perhaps 1) we are fucking morons, 2) we know BEK is ours at a moment's notice if we want him, so can do one last roll of the dice for Paz.

Yeah, Paratici is no fool. Marzio reported that Paz hasn't yet accepted the move to us even if Como agree to sell. But maybe that doesn't mean anything. Because technically, he may not want to reveal his hand unless a bid is accepted by Como, and then he could say yes I will go to Spurs.

Because if a bid is rejected, and he's leaked he is open to moving, well the fans won't be happy.

But I don't know, I'm just guessing. You would have thought the agents have suggested he would like to come.

We can offer a central role. PL and CL football, far higher salary, playing alongside the club captain and NT team mate Romero.

So maybe it isn't that far fetched. Are Como going to get CL this season? Even if they do, Paz won't be there to enjoy it as Madrid will take him back to probably sit on the bench.

Fuck knows, I can't wait for the window to close haha.

No, surely not the first one. We've got a plan. This is aaall going to plan

Yes I get that.

Tbh I have ZERO confidence in levy and co, there useless.

A few weeks ago when MGW fell through we made a bid for paz, it was rejected and we walked away an blew 2 weeks on the eze deal.

That goes wrong because we wasted so much time when we should have bid and closed the deal sooner, now were going back to paz and como with a begging bowl and an even higher fee to pay and just a few days to do it.

We baulked at the 70m price before after bidding 40m, now they will hold out for every penny.

Will we pay 70m for him? NO WAY
Will we pay 80m for savinho? Slightly higher chance.

The most likely outcome is we fuck both deals and end up with a cheapo levy special.and a big we tried.

Levy should get on a flight to Barcelona, slap €100 million on the desk, bosh, come home with Olmo.
Then get the train up to Birmingham and meet with Villa, slap £100 million on the desk, bosh, come home with Rogers.

He's not a pure #10, but if Amorim sees no place for Mainoo in his system, I'd be seeing if that's something that's possible as an "opportunity signing". No idea what his wages are and he's probably not wiling to give up on playing for Man Utd. But that's a player who 12 months ago was the future of english football and he cant get a kick.

Did Bayer 04 just lose more than the season opener against Hoffenheim?

After the match, Piero Hincapie gave a clear indication of his departure. It wasn't the only one on Saturday.

Is Bayer 04 losing another pillar of its 2024 double eleven? On Saturday, after the German runners-up's 2-1 defeat in their Bundesliga opener against TSG Hoffenheim, signs grew that, along with many other stars like Florian Wirtz, Granit Xhaka, Jonathan Tah, and Jeremie Frimpong, Piero Hincapie would also be leaving Leverkusen before the transfer deadline on September 1st.

The Ecuadorian World Cup participant wept as the team lined up in front of the North Curve after the final whistle. Tears that were interpreted as a farewell from the central defender. A defeat on Matchday 1, no matter how sobering, is no reason for such strong emotions.

I dont believe we will get Paz. It's the sort of transfer Levy can't do. Savinho is not coming either. Transfer fee, agent fee and wages just too much for Levy to swallow. He still has a nasty taste in his mouth from Ndombele transfer. It'll be BEK or Damsgaard. If not them two a cheap loan of Garnacho is more Levy's cuppa tea.

Wouldn't suprise me.

We always miss the boat, always a step behind, a day late and a few dollars short.

We will buy cheap and by twice, maybe even 3 times

More to this.

On Saturday, following the 2-1 defeat to TSG Hoffenheim, signs grew that, along with many other stars, Piero Hincapie, who was crying on the pitch, would also leave Bayer 04 Leverkusen before the transfer deadline on September 1. Recently, Premier League clubs from London, such as Tottenham Hotspur, were linked with the 23-year-old, whose contract, which runs until 2029, includes a release clause for a transfer fee in excess of €60 million. Despite repeated inquiries on Saturday evening and Sunday, neither the club nor the player's side commented on the matter.

Maybe he is actually on his way?

I'd love Damsgaard tbf. Think he has a bigger immediate inpact than both Paz and BEK (maybe lower ceiling). Want nothing to do with the united outcasts outside of Mainoo.
