He is a technical director not the DoF. We are asking Lange to complete deals in our structure that is going to be Levy not Lange. If you want a politician and deal maker you need Paratici back as DoF. They aren’t the same roles.

Who over promoted him?? It is all on Levy, don't get sucked into blaming anyone else. Until he's out of our club we could put anyone you can think of in a sporting/football director role and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference
In multiple threads (no doubt including this one) I can be found saying I want a structure that entails a 'Parattici' (trad DOF/vision & deal-making guy) and a 'Lange' (data boffin head of scouting nerd that still has practical experience of old school methods); whilst Levy pisses about with brand synergys, THFC plc investments and all that bollocks.
Our exchange earlier was simply me being insistent that ENIC (and/or Levy) being "zero" influence, silent owners is completely unrealistic.... It is.
Except.... Having more effective people working under Levy in these roles vs the obvious gimps (eg Hitchens) evidently HAS yielded positive results.

The uncomfortable part however is that the seeds of Poch's fabled team were sewn in large part by Levy, McDermott, Sherwood, Pleat & such (i.e. Hugo, Vert, Dembele, Walker, Rose, Dele + Kane, Mason, Bentaleb, Winks, Carrol. Pritchard etc etc........ A wave of academy products that netted us over 100m when that was still a fuck tonne of dosh.... Long before we got another 100m from Bayern).
