He’s a 8/10 hybrid- neither Gray nor Bergvall have been used at the 10. Paqueta wouldn’t be getting in their way.
I think he's working his way back from injury.... Only came on after 62mins v Man U y'day.
Bergvall has at certain moments and could play a Sarr-type role, but in terms of offering creativity in that shape, we could do worse than Paqueta.
He's not a great positional fit, but he's so much better than BEK he would offer more as a 10.
I'd still definitely rather have Akliouche
And at this point LB is like 4th-5th on the priority list. All credit to Djed for that.

I have a feeling our backup fullbacks beyond Spence, Udogie and Porro will be Davies/VdV and Gray/Danso.
Think people are getting a bit caught up on signing an out and out 10. An attacking midfielder who's versatile works too! Paqueta is that. He's an 8 or a 10. Similar profile to MGW imo. He's more of a 10 than Sarr is anyway.
I like the idea of paqueta and Mainoo personally. To me they'd be far better options than and out and out 10 like BEK or the Monaco kid.
Plus letting of all our youth basically means we won’t have a b list. Why not keep lankshear, donley Moore , Philips and vusco for example. What harm would ther have been. They are no worse than Davies, Yang, tel , Wilson etc. now we will have rely on 16 yr olds. At least Frank and his Vicki g team could have worked with these guys and monitored their development then reassesed in Jan. but at least have the numbers for first 4 months of season where you have PL, CL, caraboa and early rounds of fa cup. Simply stupid and negligent. Now we will be scrambling round over paying for youngsters or just average players. When what we should have done is go our get your eze’s over the line early and few other quality players for first team. Then bolster squad with some of the academy players.

We need someone(s) that can unlock a parked bus and feed thru passes to the CFs though the middle; otherwise we'll be very one dimensional and struggle against the lower table teams.

It’s lucky for the board. We 100% deserve the 6 points but with the squad we have we could just as easily be on 1-2. How many seasons have we gone in undercooked and behind when it comes to points because we’re trying to “win” at doing deals? Like I was saying it’s almost always a false economy.

Paqueta is just another box to box midfielder. He doesn’t offer anything we don’t already have
