But Rogers is "only" on £75k a week.
They have 14 players earning more than him. At least 3 earning double his wages*

Selling him to ease their wage ratio doesn't achieve much unless he himself is demanding more money that they can't give him.

*some of these figures may need updating

He's homegrown is he not? So any sale goes into the incoming as pure profit so if they save 75k on wages a week and make 50m as income that brings the % down as whole on both sides.

After looking it was actually last 91% of wage to turn over and they have since lost a couple of players and haven't signed anyone.

Either way the club over spent a lot on wages trying to break into that top 6 and it's not really worked for em hence the pressure

He's like a Kulu who does what we expect Kulu to do but better than Kulu at doing.

There is zero evidence to support this statement.

The Paqueta links are baffling. He's exactly what we need to avoid - overpaying for sonmeone who isn't better than what we already have. Would be a terrible signing.. Maybe a loan until Madders and Kulu return but he's not keeping either of them out of the side so what's the point?

Given the source is now Tier 2 or Tier 3 Romano cannot be relied upon for accurate Spurs news following a series of disinformation this window.

But even if true, the most likely explanation is that Dragusin is nearing a return from injury and will be fit by end of international break which is just coming up.

I can't see any top CB's wanting to come to Spurs to fight for playing time with Romero, Van de Ven and Danso - although if a top CB wants to come and we offload Dragusin, that would work for us.

We were always going to loan one of Takai or Vuskovic. Looks like Vuskovic is the one. Dragusin will be back soon too. There is nothing more to it. I wouldn't be getting excited about this meaning we'll be signing a defender!

We still have Ben Davies too!

Athletic are reporting it too so no doubt it's true

Come now, this is not POSSIBLY anywhere close to being as bad as that period under Porch where we stopped buying players at all for like two years.

Our team was far better then, though. And the stadium build was perhaps a justifiable excuse. It was hard to improve that team.

This time, the team just finished 17th, just suffered a season-ending injury to our most creative player, and the stadium can no longer be used as an excuse.

We have also been given a golden opportunity to capitalise on CL qualification and attract better players.

Considering that context, it is, so far, a very disappointing window.

Disagree. In fact thats nonsense. One player in Isak, who is an absolute tosser for what he is doing.
There's been a lot of talk in the last few days that Isaak was promised a new deal at Newcastle, then Paul Mitchell came in and put a stop to it.
Which could go some way to explaining why Isaak wants out so badly as well as his barely cryptic "promises were broken" tweet.

Also agree regarding location.
England is a tiny country. Little Englanders think Newcastle to London is a long way. The rest of the world have cities/states that are bigger than England.

Is that what you want to see?
Christ no... We've been embarrassed enough for one window. Try one big bid for Rogers and move on if its not possible. Don't get tied down on him while Villa go and sign one of the main alternatives!

I'm just warning you what the next big embarrassment could be. Many on here refused to see the Woolwich hijack for Eze coming even though it was staring them in the face all along. Its good to be prepared for this

Rogers was bought by Villa from Middlesbrough (and before that he was at ManCity), so a fee may give them a profit, but it will be after writing off fee they paid to Boro

Thanks,let's hope not.

Standard saying today Dragusin isnt back until late this year and he'll obviously take a couple of months to get upto speed. Really dont think you can rely on him until February at best. So 6 defenders (not counting Takei as yet) to cover 4 positions for 6 months is clearly insane.

Fcuk him mate, and agree re: Newcastle. Also, do your research if you are a player.
