I never thought he would , not because I’m clever but because after 25 years I can never see anything positive with Levy . It might weaken my argument occasionally, but my sceptical view of everything he does has served me well . Not sure that those with a positive view of Levy can say the same as he habitually lets them down

This is just not true, You dont like the direction, and we are not succeeding in securing the final few pieces of the puzzle but the direction is there for all to see.


You say at the end, Frank does not want players for the sake of it, which means we have to buy the right profile player that HE wants, rather than just whatever player the fans want.

If we cant get them, then perhaps that is better than again, being stuck with whoever just to make up the numbers

Lookman is bang average attacking player who has flopped everywhere except for this club. And as I factually pointed out- he was not even the main man in their attacking line last season (!) while Romero obviously was main defender.

I give up now, I feel I can have more intelligent discussion with 3yo.

They are setting themselves up for massive disappointment. As if Chelsea don’t know what they are doing. They have whole departments of finance professionals working away, I am sure they know exactly what they are doing and will exploit any angle they can to make sure they end the window with all the players they want. It always works out for them. The idea the SC know more than Chelsea football club about their own transfer dealings is laughable.

We will just get any old bodies in and I think it will be massively underwhelming for us all.

I think we are in a Catch 22 now . We don’t want just bodies but the quality in the squad needs support in certain areas . If we don’t get bodies we can’t rotate sufficiently and remain competitive, however we don’t want stop gaps we can’t shift . If we don’t rotate we get injuries as we play CL , however we don’t have the squad as is to rotate without a big drop off in certain positions . As I said Catch 22 and this is far from the first time we have been here , buck stops with one man

We have had 3 months mate. We call ourselves a big club.

If we can't close the gap, we should at least not let it widen.

Having Frank or any new manager and any sense of clarity or vision they may have requires real evidence of it being backed ir it becomes theory alone.

We needed to have done better than one significant signing. Much better.
