My brother, we are paying Simons 10m a year for 5 years but could be up to 7.
This is by far the buggest transfer commitment in ENIC history…club history.
And as it should be, that’s what it takes to get players like this. Let’s give the club credit for it, instead of pretending we got him on the cheap.
My Brother's out there later this year. He married a Brazilian and intends to retire out there.Yeah had a great time! I might post a (blatant) post about it in the holiday thread. Was a superb holiday.
Left wing is Rogers' main position. Well it used to be anyway, I know Villa turned him into more of a central player but by the sound of it he can slot in anywhere.Rogers is a 10 right?
I get that we need depth, but how do you convince him to come as a backup to our new 10 Simons?
Or does one of them prefer lw?
22 + 4 = 26He’s always had that talent too. If anything, his career decisions look like green flags to me.
Leaving Barca for PSG was bad advice to a child.
PSG to PSV was very smart. Showed he was humble enough to know he needed to play.
RBL similar deal. Went to a place to play and build his profile at the same time as his game.
My guess is that in his head, he will be thinking Spurs for 4 years until he’s 28, try and win things, reach his peak as a legit world class player then see if Barca or Real come knocking.
And I’ll say this now, I’d be fine with that because he’d need to really kill it here to reach that level. Shows me he’s focused on his goals and ready to put the work in to get there. Exactly what you want at your club.
Ndombele was £200kpw (10.4m p/a).... Cost £63 (not euros)...... 6 year deal
Basically the same.

Tottenham have signed midfielder Tanguy Ndombele for a club-record £63m from Lyon.www.skysports.com
Thought he’s shit but never watched him lol
Nice problem to have.I also must say, I'm a bit concerned about sarr.
Plenty of games and all that, but he's been really showing incredible promise and looks to be breaking out. Especially further up as under frank.
Suddenly it's crowded, especially if we get rogers and Maddison comes back.
Sarr isn’t going to play at #10, he’ll be able to play #8 now with Simons here.I also must say, I'm a bit concerned about sarr.

Yep his future is an 8 imoSarr isn’t going to play at #10, he’ll be able to play #8 now with Simons here.
Xavi played a left sided #10 in Leipzig’s 4-2-2-2, if we did get Rogers which seems extremely unlikely, I could see Simons playing a bit like Eriksen used to on the left when Dele was central.
I want him to score, assist but also help out defensively. And show leadership qualities on & off the field. All that on a consistent basis. He’s always had that talent too. If anything, his career decisions look like green flags to me.

If love to hear:To the dele Ali song
“We’ve got Simons , Xavi Simon’s
He’s better than Eze , he hates the Chelsea
We’ve got xavi Simon’s”

He's the prick's prick. Period.More shit comes out his mouth than Thames Water allow to flow into the Thames.
Van De Ven did not make his debut for Spurs the day after joining the club.No he won't. Just an observation that the rules would make him available. The previous manager would throw him in without doubt. Like he did with Van De Ven.
To the tune of Steve WonderIf love to hear:
"Tottenham called,
And he answered"
Incorporated somehow into a song, especially when playing Chelsea.
