Adding another forward is a tricky one. For me tel is not ready for significant minutes in the pl or cl UNLESS he plays with the best 11 to help lessen the drop off we might have with him.
Odobert im happy to give more minute to progress.
So going from CL to PL games you will want to freshen up 2 or 3 attackers. Remember with the new format it means there will be a minimum of 8 game weeks where you will have to go hard on the cl midweek then have a pl games either side, thats alot.
CL (ideally go absolute strongest especially early state for points)

We have to bare in mind richys injury record and IF he were to get injured then tel automatically becomes reserve ST.
Also sarr will still likely play certain games at 10 and simons may move left.
I think right now we are on the cusp of needing another. You could say that we are OK but the second we get an injury to somebody in that group we are short and will struggle.
Ideally id love 1 more very high ceiling attacker. We have a very good and young core group of players and the focus should be on quality. Id personally not want to add lookman, we need someone preferably early to mid 20's with a high ceiling.
I think now we have simons somebody like Lee kang-in would be a great option IF we can't get savio or Rogers(even more unlikely imo.
All in all If we add another top quality forward then every team will be worried about us this season and we will fight to win every competition.

Micky, Cuti and Kev all have a poor injury record. Drag's coming back from a big injury. Davies is nearing the end of his elite career. Takai? Lol.

I have. I'm generally happy with Richy and Solanke. But he fullfills so many boxes. Squad registration, elite, we have a "cheapish" buy back and he wants to break the record.
Sounds like criticism? Surely not? Kept reading yesterday that our window is worth an A+++++, that Levy is the bestest chairman ever and that he should give himself a 10bn bonus for signing Xavi.
His stats are pretty good when you look into them.
On the face if it, he's played 60 games for Bayern but in reality, he was only ever used as a sub. He averages just 27 minutes per game so when you take that into consideration, his 12 goals and 6 assists start to look quite good.
His actual game time equates to just 18 full 90 minutes so 12 and 6 in 18 games is very good.
I'm backing Tel to come good considering his age and the fact that he was in a squad behind Harry Kane in the pecking order.
Might not be this year, but he's going to break out soon.

I understand why we agreed to one with Xavi, but this one makes zero sense.
Agree to an extent. The prices being spoken about were mad for a player with one goal last season. I suspect we enquired if the cost was £35m but as soon as we found out they wanted nearly double that was it. I certainly never believe we were willing to bid as much for a player as they were saying. The values just made no sense at all.

We are a couple of players short from an optimum squad coverage in my opinion.
Spence can play left and right, and then over-time it will be seeking to raise the bar even further.
Frank says we will be trying until the last minute. Let's see.
There must be some change to how we do business but at least we seem clearer on the quality of players that Frank will sanction the purchase of, not dismissing that in some areas it will just be for the sake of cover.
