Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Do you not think the cluelessness was our tactics vs ireolas? We had a good midfield but we don’t press and pass like Bournemouth. High chance semenyo or any Bournemouth players are average out of their system. Kirkez looks half the player.
Not tactics. Personnel. Bentancur and Palhinha are not players of creativity or visions to pass out of the high press. Madders playing in place of either one yesterday would make a WHOLE lot of a difference.

Hence I'm calling for a Rogers or the next better available candidate, Paqueta (although he's not exactly a no 10 but he possessed some of that visions) to be our next imperative signing.

I don't think Frank would turn down a no.10 at all in the coming days. He seems to be asking for that the whole summer if rumours are to be believed. I will be surprised if he thinks Simons will be used as a no. 10 for a huge chunk. Sometimes, possibly. Always, don't think so.

We should of been all over Grealish.

He's just extremely creative....something we're absolutely not with no Maddison around.

Grealish, Simons and Kudus would have had a lovely balance.

Less than 36 hours to save the window and give this Big 6 Football Club a fighting chance to compete on all fronts

Left mid / wing and serious upgrade on our woeful striking options an absolute priority

There hasnt been nearly enough churn this summer. A lot of these players told us who they were last season. Might get up for the big games but really dont fancy the weekly grind. Just too easy and comfortable for them and losing doesnt hurt enough. Left it to late to change it much now but at least 1 or 2 more quality players are needed
Needed a new, proper leader at the back --> extended Romero (highest earner) & made him captain...and signed Takai.

Needed a world class DM --> got JP of Bayern cause they still owed us money for Harry.

Needed two elite wingers --> turned Johnson into a LW, signed Tel on a permanent, bought Kudus cause Spam were in the shit (and he was bang meh last season).

Needed a superstar CF --> keeping Richy & Dom.

My ambitious chairman. My serious big club.

Cheeky bid for Isak? Include a release clause that he can go to Liverpool, Real Madrid, etc. if we recoup the transfer fee?

Then we renege on the release clause and hold an awkward press conference with Don Levy glowering at him.

The dopamine hit from Simons has already worn off I see? regardless I still see one more signing most people will be happy with then maybe another who we all kind of accept but aren't exactly buzzing about.
It's who we are mate.... TWO consecutive days of nice things ...?
Don't be ridiculous!
Not getting MFW was a very big slice of luck
He would have been another Johnson, Solanke and Richarlison. Overpriced and limited.
It proves the benefit of not buying for the sake of it. Keep your powder dry and wait for real quality like Simmons.
We'll turn him into Tel 2.0 soon enough, don't you worry yo pretty little head about THAT!
