Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A lot of people saw Palinha and Bentancur were the root of our issues yesterday. Frank also did based on his comments and first subs. And Bournemouth won't be the only team that approach us like that if we settle on them as our starting double pivot.

Expect them to struggle with Fulham, Brentford, Newcastle, Everton, Brighton, maybe even fucking Leeds. Basically any team that does what we do and adjusts their system to the opposition.

Really? I really dont think that was the overriding issue. Wrong combination of midfield 3? Yes 100% it was wrong.

The root of our issue yesterday was the attacking midfied 3 and richy. Also a mis match at rb with porro v semenyo.

Johnson scored 17 goals last season, and 2 in three games this season.

He was poor today, but which players weren't.

To be fair after reading your post i would one hundred percent trust the judgement of Lange over your own.

Amen. Preach!!

For Fabrizio Romano (in his Italian channel) last night there was a meeting between Frank and the club's management. Tottenham are looking to sign a winger. Lookman is a name they have discussed, but not the first choice.

Frank said something like we couldn’t play through phase one and two. We are forced away from the strengths of our forwards because our midfield had zero ball progression. And to make matters worse, we didn’t even win midfield duels.

If bissouma is still here after Monday then he's the better choice to go in the 3 against pressing teams imo

Gallagher makes zero sense unless hes Sarrs cover and it clear the club rate Sarr ( as they should) Paqueta makes way more sense if we are talking actually possible buys. West Ham don't want to sell to Spurs but who cares what they want make a formal offer and watch Paqueta start the sub harmonic whining that makes ears bleed. We dont need anymore lungs we need players who play forward quickly accurately and first time. This and any left winger can beat his man and commit consistently.

Is that the two cement mixers who were outstanding against Manchester City?

They’re both physical and solid off the ball so yes, in a game where we had 30 odd % of the ball and worked almost entirely on transitions, the big tackly blokes did well.

If you want to win premier league games week in week out then you’re going to need technicians in the middle of the park who can control games against sides like Bournemouth, resist their press and progress the ball.

Otherwise they will end up doing the absolute hatchet job they did on those two repeatedly.

The respective chairman must either know of huge finances coming into the PL or be so fearful of relegation, or maybe both, but the PL expenditure like much of the outgoing meteorological summer, seems like a record spend.

Amazing how much is ploughed into football and even more insane when you consider just how much players, most of whom would not get near an all-time best club squad receive for relative mediocrity.

Blows out cheeks.

Gallagher might not be in a priority area, which I think is striker and left side of midfield, but we must improve the squad level, and for me Gallagher would add two things.

Experience and a sense of leadership. He would also bring additional energy amd a bit of calm.

Not a priority but not to be declined if it could be done. I suspect it's his agent talking.
